Game of Thrones may be down, but it remains a dominant force in the ratings.
Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 dipped to 10.29 million total viewers and a 4.4 rating in the demo in linear viewing.
This is down just over 12 percent from the 11.76 million total viewers and 5.0 demo rating that Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 1 logged just over a week ago.
At the time of those ratings being revealed, HBO revealed that including streaming on the Sunay night, the ratings soared to 17.4 million total viewers.
The streaming numbers for Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 have yet to be released, but this post-premiere drop is on par with the declines for some of the seasons that came before it.
Additionally, it's worth noting that Sunday's episode leaked well in advance of the HBO airing. Amazon Germany accidentally uploaded the episode in advance.
Viewers watching Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 1 were prompted to watch Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 right after, and spoilers were posted across the internet.
Despite the leak and the minor erosion, Game of Thrones towered above the competition on both the broadcast networks and even cable.
Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3 is poised to be a big one for the series, with a battle that's been teased since the very beginning kicking off.
