DC Universe at WonderCon: Stargirl Suits Up, Swamp Thing Premiere Date & More!

DC Universe made quite the splash Friday night at WonderCon, giving fans their first look at Stargirl, a premiere date for Swamp Things, and even some Titans news. 

Stargirl does not have a definite premiere date of yet, but we do have our first look at Brec Bassinger in the role of the superhero. 

Stargirl Suits Up

The costume is pretty amazing, right?

It was designed by Laura Jean Shannon, who has also worked on Titans, Doom Patrol, and Black Lightning.

"High school sophomore Courtney Whitmore who inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past," reads the official logline.

"This new DC Universe series reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in a fun, exciting and unpredictable series premiering in 2019, produced by Warner Bros. Television, Mad Ghost Productions and Berlanti Productions."

Brec Bassinger Promotes Hot Summer Nights

There's no firm premiere date, but it is likely to bow in early 2020. 

Meanwhile, the Crystal Reed-fronted Swamp Thing now has an official premiere date. It will unspool weekly on the DC Universe from Friday, May 31.

The series follows "Abby Arcane as she investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets," according to the official logline. 

"When unexplainable and chilling horrors emerge from the murky marsh, no one is safe."

Crystal Reed Visits a Diner

Sounds fun, right?

For fans of Titans, the streamer also confirmed that Titans Season 2 will get underway in the fall, so it's good news all around. 

It was unclear whether the series would be delayed to accommodate the multitude of other superhero series on the service. 

Kaley Cuoco Attends Charity Event

Harley Quinn, featuring Kaley Cuoco as the titular villain, will launch when Titans Season 2 wraps its run. 

In other news, Krypton, which already aired on Syfy last year will be made available on the service.
