The Sex and the City actress has signed up to appear on Fox's in-the-works soapy drama series, Filthy Rich

It follows the Monroe clan, a wealthy family who is rocked when the patriarch dies in a plane crash.

Being the CEO of the world's largest Christian network, questions start to arise over what was going on before his passing.

Things get crazier when Cattrall's character realizes that her late husband fathered illegitimate kids.

Making things worse, the kids are all in his will, meaning there's less of the family fortune to go around.

Margaret's immediate reaction is to pay some of them off, but that's easier said than done, especially when these heirs learn that there's a lot of money at stake.

With a small town rocked by the mysterious arrivals, Margaret and her children are forced to do battle with these heirs who want nothing more than to make some capital.

It sounds soapy, right?

Cattrall is coming off a series regular role on CBS All Access anthology, Tell Me a Story.
