It's a great day for fans of three freshman series at CBS!
The network announced that Magnum P.I,, FBI, and The Neighborhood have all been renewed for a second season.
“Each of these distinctive shows has made their mark in a variety of ways,” said Kelly Kahl, President, CBS Entertainment.
“Our goals this season were to introduce new series that audiences are passionate about, add more strength to a winning schedule and create more inclusive programming,” she said.
Thom Sherman, Senior Executive Vice President of Programming added, “We’re thrilled by the creative direction and performance of these three shows as they continue to grow in popularity and resonate with the Network’s viewers.”
Magnum P.I. is a thrilling reboot of the 1980's classic starring Tom Selleck.
The show stars Jay Hernandez as Thomas Magnum, a former Navy SEAL turned sometimes Hawaiian-shirt wearing private eye.
He and his team always seem to make everyone's day better after they solve a case.
The series also stars Perdita Weeks as the new, badass, female Higgins, Zachary Knighton as the always goofy but genuine Rick, and Stephen Hill as the resourceful and loyal TC.
FBI, from Emmy Award-winning producer Dick Wolf, is a top 10 series and CBS’ #1 new show, averaging almost 13 million viewers each week.
The fast-paced drama about the inner workings of the New York office of the FBI stars Missy Peregrym as Maggie Bell and Zeeko Zaki as OA.
The Neighborhood is a socially-conscious sitcom about a white family who moves into an African-American neighborhood.
It explores how the situation allows each family to learn about differences in cultures and life experiences.
Cedric the Entertainer and Tichina Arnold star as neighborhood stalwarts the Butlers, while Max Greenfield and Beth Behrs are the “new kids on the block,” the Johnsons.
