Donna Paulsen is getting a love interest in the back half of Suits Season 8.
Per Deadline, Grimm grad, Sasha Roiz has joined the USA Network legal drama as the new man in Donna's life.
Thomas Kessler is the mystery man's name, and he has been a client of the firm for quite a while thanks to his high-end furniture design company.
Donna steps in to help when Kessler shows up at the firm with an issue, but one thing leads to another, and they get closer to each other.
This casting will probably not go down well with fans who are still lobbying for Donna and Harvey to get together.
Despite several teases, their relationship can't seem to get past the platonic stage.
It's all getting a little too much to keep up with. What's more, Roiz will be a recurring player as opposed to a guest star.
Could Donna getting close to Thomas be the thing that paves the way for Harvey to admit his feelings and for the pair to carve out a relationship?
Anything is possible with this series, but given their track record, they will likely get together in the final moments of the series finale.
There were a lot of changes for Suits before its most recent season debuted. Both Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams bid adieu to the series as Rachel and Mike.
That meant there was room for some new blood to take center stage. For Grey's Anatomy star, Katherine Heigl joined as Samantha Wheeler, while longtime recurring star, Amanda Schull was promoted to series regular as Katrina Bennett.
As expected, the ratings have suffered as a result of the casting changes, with Suits Season 8 averaging a 0.26 rating among adults 18-49.
These figures are down over 20 percent year-to-year.
Even with the diminished ratings, USA Network is pressing forward with Gina Torres-fronted spinoff that will focus on her taking on Chicago politics.
