The upcoming Suits spinoff fronted by Gina Torres has added some new series regulars to its cast.

Rittenhouse played Keri Allen on an episode of Suits Season 7, and the character butted heads with Torres' Jessica Pearson.

There's no word yet on why the recasting occurred, but it's not uncommon for shows to recast so early into the process.

Also on board for the Chicago-set offshoot is Chantel Riley (Wynonna Earp), Isabel Arraiza (The Oath), and Eli Goree (Riverdale).

They join a cast that already includes Simon Kassianides and Morgan Spector.

Riley will take on the role of Angela Cook, a nursing assistant, and cousin of Jessica.

Arraiza will play Yoli Castillo, described as "Jessica’s passionate assistant who will learn from the best how to most effectively channel her intensity. "

Finally, Gore will play Derrick Mayes, the press secretary of Bobby.

Gina Torres Promotes The Catch

USA Network placed a series order for the spinoff in March.

“Gina’s portrayal of Jessica Pearson as one of television’s strongest, most successful businesswomen has made a huge impact with fans,” said Chris McCumber, president, entertainment networks, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, adding:

“We can’t wait to explore this next chapter in the ‘Suits’ legacy – and a brand new world for Jessica.”

Gina Torres Attends Premiere

"I am sincerely grateful to USA and UCP for giving Dan Arkin, my producing partners at Hypnotic and me the opportunity to continue Jessica Pearson’s journey in this new series that will encapsulate all that our fans love about her and Suits — but with its own distinct story that will be unique to the franchise.”
