Jenna Dewan is checking into Season 2 of Fox medical drama The Resident.
The actress will play the role of Julian Lynn and is described as a sharp and sophisticated medical device rep with a past as a dancer.
Her warm personality allows her to excel in her field, and she would not be doing her job without the help of a medical device.
That's what gives her the drive to help others get back to being fit and healthy. However, her journey at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital will not be without issues.
As The Resident Season 2 progresses, Julian will start to wonder what the future means for her career and whether the medical device field will be viable.
Dewan will recur throughout the sophomore run of the popular drama, but we're pretty sure there's no way she will become a series regular.
The actress already appears on NBC's World of Dance as a host. She will also star on Netflix's Mixtape, a brand new drama series that was in the works at Fox.
The show failed to snag a series order, and Netflix swooped in to save the day. That show is currently in preproduction, and if it takes off, it could take up a lot of Jenna's time.
Jenna has previously appeared on the small screen in American Horror Story: Asylum, The Witches of East End and Supergirl.
The Resident launched to decent reviews earlier this year, and Fox rewarded the series with a renewal following respectable ratings, but there were some changes as a result of the renewal.
Merrin Dungey (former hospital CEO Claire Thorpe), Melina Kanakaredes (incarcerated oncologist Lane Hunter) and Moran Atias (Chastain Park’sPR chief Renata Morali).
