One Dollar is premiering sooner than you may think.
CBS All Access today confirmed that its new drama series will launch on the streaming platform Thursday, August 30, and will debut new episodes on Thursdays after that.
Per the official logline:
ONE DOLLAR is a mystery set in a small rust belt town in post-recession America, where a one-dollar bill changing hands connects a group of characters involved in a shocking multiple murder.
The path of the dollar bill and point of view in each episode paint a picture of a modern American town with deep class and cultural divides that spill out into the open as the town’s secrets get revealed.
The cast includes John Carroll Lynch, Nathaniel Martello-White, Chris Denham, Philip Ettinger, Kirrilee Berger, Gracie Lawrence, Joshua Bitton, Níkẹ Uche Kadri, Hamilton Clancy, Greg Germann, Sturgill Simpson, Aleksa Palladino, Jeff Perry and Leslie Odom Jr.
The series is produced by CBS Television Studios alongside Anonymous Content.
Craig Zobel, Matt DeRoss, Alexandre Dauman and Jason Mosberg all serve as executive producers, and Zobel will direct all episodes of the first season which is scheduled to span ten episodes.
CBS All Access has been ramping up its foray into original content of late.
Tell Me A Story reunites Kevin Williamson (The Vampire Diaries creator) with Paul Wesley.
Written by Kevin Williamson and set in modern-day New York City, the first season of this serialized drama interweaves “The Three Little Pigs,” “Little Red Riding Hood” and “Jack and the Beanstalk” into a tale of love, loss, greed, revenge, and murder.
The streamer has also found much success with both Star Trek: Discovery and The Good Fight which have proven popular with both critics and viewers.
The former has been renewed for Season 2, while the latter will return for Season 3 next year.
