When Bull returns for Season 3 this fall on CBS, it will be without an original series regular.
According to TV Line, Annabelle Attanasio is bowing out of the series as Cable McCrory aka the person the security expert who helps the team get out of some of the toughest of situations.
“I’m excited to share that I have been given the opportunity to direct my first feature film, a story I’ve been shepherding for four years, Attanasio said in a statement provided by CBS.“
"Sadly, the film conflicts with my role as Cable on “Bull.” CBS and the show’s producers have graciously allowed me to leave the series so I can pursue this extraordinary opportunity."
"While I will miss Cable dearly, I am so thrilled about this new chapter in my career, and am forever grateful to the show for supporting me on my creative journey."
"I loved my time on the show, and feel so lucky to have the support of the show’s producers, CBS, and most of all, my unbelievable castmates.”
There's no word yet on how the show will write the character out, but it sure sounds like the actress will not be back even for a farewell episode.
The news comes just weeks after we learned that the hit drama is moving to Monday nights to join CBS' revamped line-up which includes The Neighborhood, Happy Together and the reboot of Magnum P.I.
The procedural series will replace Scorpion which was canceled at the network after four seasons due to diminishing ratings.
CBS has not been competitive on Monday nights for some time now, but having Bull in the 10/9c is not a bad option. Bull Season 2 averaged 10.6 million viewers and a 1.2 rating among adults 18-49.
These figures are based on live + same day metrics, but Bull emerged as the fifth highest-rated scripted show on CBS.
