The Neighborhood Recast: Beth Behrs Replaces Dreama Walker!

One of the most promising new series of the 2018-19 season is recasting another lead role.

Per Deadline, Two Broke Girls star Beth Behrs has been drafted in to replace Dreama Walker who appeared in the pilot.

The news comes just weeks after it was announced that Max Greenfield is taking over the role Josh Lawson had in the pilot.

Beth Behrs Attends Event

Behrs will play Gemma on the series which follows "the nicest guy in the Midwest" who uproots his family and moves to one of the least desirable neighborhoods in Los Angeles.

CBS ordered the show to series last month and it will join the rejigged Monday schedule which includes fellow newbies Happy Together and Magnum P.I. alongside veteran drama, Bull.

The network's Monday line-up took a big hit in the ratings on the night during the 2017-18 season, so it makes sense that different shows will get the chance to strike a chord with viewers.

Beth Behrs Smiles

While it's shocking enough to have one cast member recast, CBS maintains that this latest big switcheroo is for creative reasons.

Behrs was attached to Our People, a Fox comedy pilot which missed the cut for a series order, prompting CBS to approach the star to lead the cast of The Neighborhood.

Behrs appeared as Caroline Wesbox Channing on Two Broke Girls for six seasons, but the series was canceled back in 2017 after a big drop in the ratings.
