It's been less than a week since ABC canceled Roseanne following series star Roseanne Barr's racist comment.

Co-star Sara Gilbert addressed her feelings about the cancellation on Monday's episode of The Talk.

“I would like to say this has been a very difficult week. A lot of people have been hurt by this,“ the actress began.

Sara Gilbert Attends ABC Upfront

"I will say I’m proud of the show we made,” she continued.

“[Roseanne] has always been about diversity, love and inclusion, and it’s sad to see it end in this way. I’m sad for the people who lost their jobs in the process. However, I do stand behind the decision that ABC made.”

Barr took to Twitter on Tuesday morning and took aim at Barack Obama's former senior adviser, Valerie Jarrett, comparing her to an ape.

Barr felt the ire of the media shortly after, and ABC responded by canceling the comedy, despite it being the most-watched scripted show on broadcast television.

Roseanne Barr Attends Event

“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” said Channing Dungey, the president of ABC last week.

“Don’t feel sorry for me, guys!!-I just want to apologize to the hundreds of people, and wonderful writers (all liberal) and talented actors who lost their jobs on my show due to my stupid tweet," Barr said via Twitter after the cancellation.

That was around the time she went one step further and complained that she was "Ambien tweeting," prompting the pharmaceutical company to clap back at Roseanne.

Roseanne Barr Smiles

"People of all races, religions, and nationalities work at Sanofi every day to improve the lives of people around the world," the Tweet from Sanfoni reads.

"While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication."

Despite the show definitely being done, there are rumblings that a spinoff could materialize with Gilbert leading the cast.

Roseanne: Dan! Dan!
Dan: What? What happened?
Roseanne: I thought you were dead!
Dan: I'm sleeping! Why does everybody always think I'm dead?
