NBC Renews Blindspot for Season 4, Gives Series Order to Manifest

at .

The verdict is in for Blindspot, and the future is bright for the NBC drama.

The peacock network confirmed Thursday afternoon that an order has been placed for Season 4 of the little-viewed, yet very exhilarating spy thriller.

An episode order is yet to be confirmed, but if the first three seasons are anything to go by, it will be another 22 episode order.

A Dangerous Plot - Blindspot

Blindspot stars Jaime Alexander as Jane Doe, a woman who appeared on Times Square with no memory, and tattoos that provide pieces of the puzzle to who she really is.

With the move to Friday nights for Blindspot Season 3, the series slipped 40 percent in the demo and is currently averaging 3.3 million viewers and a 0.6 rating among adults 18-49.

While the figures are not great, they are decent for Friday nights, and enough to keep the show on the air for at least one more season.

There's no telling whether it will remain on Fridays during the 2018-2019 season, but it's hard to imagine the network moving it to one of the higher-rated nights.

In most recent measures, the series is adding 100 percent within seven days to the demo tally.

Blindspot Season 3 comes to a close Friday, May 18 at 8/7c.

Meanwhile, NBC has ordered Manifest to series.

The series focuses on passengers returning from a plane that went missing several years ago.

The official logline reads: “A plane disappears from radar and returns years later after being untraceable and presumed lost at sea. No time has passed for those on the plane, but for their loved ones at home, many years have gone by."
