We are just two weeks away from the return of one of the most controversial series around.
Netflix confirmed earlier this week that 13 Reasons Why Season 2 will launch Friday, May 18.
Now, the streaming giant has released five stills from the upcoming episodes, and we think it's fair to say that things are not getting better for any of the characters.
In the picture above, Jessica (Alisha Boe) takes to the stand, presumably to give evidence. It was recently revealed that the tapes would not be the big focus of Season 2.
Instead, a string of pictures will crop up around the school, and they do not show the best side of everyone.
The new villain seems to think Jessica is "a drunk" and a "slut." Yes, it looks like the bullying will continue to intensify in Season 2, and that's a bad thing.
While things are bad for Jessica, it looks like things are going to be equally as bad for Tony (Christian Navarro).
In the above still, he is being comforted by Caleb (RJ Brown), a new character.
There was a recurring fan theory throughout 13 Reasons Why that Tony was dead the whole time, and that the other characters were imagining him as a way of coping.
Alas, it never came to fruition, and the character looks to be spiraling out of control. His poor car has also been trashed.
Olivia Baker (Kate Walsh) slowly started to unravel what really went on Liberty High during the months leading up to Hannah's (Katherine Langford) death.
That also put her on the path of revenge, and that explains why her lawsuit against the school is going to trial.
There were several things the school seemed to want to keep under wraps in order to make everyone think the faculty did everything it could to stop the bullying.
Mr. Porter (Derek Luke) made a lot of mistakes, and there's no telling whether he will continue to make them on 13 Reasons Why Season 2.
Clay (Dylan Minnette) gave him Bryce's (Justin Prentice) rape confession at the close of 13 Reasons Why Season 1.
My gut instinct is telling me he's going to shout at Bryce a few times and let him get away with it in the name of saving the school's reputation.
The final image revealed by Netflix shows Clay with an unidentified female in the background. It looks like Hannah Baker but considering there are a string of new actors on board for the new episodes, we have no idea.
