Lethal Weapon may not be sticking around for a third season at Fox.
According to Deadline, doubt has been cast upon the series' future after it emerged that co-lead, Clayne Crawford's behind-the-scenes behavior been causing a lot of problems.
The report states that Crawford has “been disciplined several times over complaints of emotional abuse and creating a hostile environment.”
And things seem to have gotten worse of late because it's emerged that several members of the cast and crew no longer want to be associated with Crawford.
TV Line has confirmed that instead of outright canceling the series, there's the possibility that Fox will recast the character of Martin Riggs.
It's difficult to assess the situation without knowing the facts really, but multiple fans took to Clayne's official Instagram account.
"Quit being a dick to your cast and crew. You have a wonderful job," said one fan.
"Been a longtime fan and disappointed to hear you may get your show axed and cost people jobs. If you need help, please seek it. Wishing you the best."
Clayne responded to the above message to refute the claims, saying he had no idea what was going on.
"This article comes as a shock," he said, adding: "I love each and every cast and crew member - and this is a great job. I would never jeopardize that for anyone. Actively exploring it's origin."
Lethal Weapon Season 2 has cooled off in the ratings, but it is averaging 4.2 million viewers and a 1.0 rating.
The show remains a hit and is the fourth-highest rated drama on the network, so it would be a shame to see the series come to a close as a result of these claims.
