TV Ratings Report: 9-1-1 and The X-Files Rise With Finales

It was the end of an era last night as Fox's The X-Files (3.4 million viewers/0.9 rating) concluded for what could possibly be the final time. 

The episode was up a tenth vs. last week, and while the ratings would suggest the series is over, it could return some day. 

Any future installments will likely be without series star Gillian Anderson who has confirmed her intention to depart the series. 

New Life - 9-1-1 Season 1 Episode 10

After that, freshman sensation, 9-1-1 (6.6 million/1.7 rating) matched its second highest ratings of the season. 

The show has already been renewed for a second season, so expect it to be paired with Empire in the fall. 

The CW: Riverdale (1.1 million/0.4 rating) and Life Sentence (0.5 million/0.1 rating) each lost some viewers, but both shows were steady vs. last week. 

Sleepover - Riverdale Season 2 Episode 16

ABC: The Goldbergs (5.8 million/1.5 rating), Speechless (4.6 million/1.3 rating), Modern Family (5.6 million/1.6 rating) and American Housewife (4.5 million/1.3 rating) were all up from their most recent airings, while Designated Survivor (4 million/0.7 rating) was steady. 

CBS: Survivor (8.5 million/1.7 rating), SEAL Team (6.5 million/1.0 rating) and Criminal Minds (5.2 million/0.9 rating) were all right on par with their most recent results. 

A Surprise Party - Law & Order: SVU Season 19 Episode 16

NBC: Law & Order: SVU (6.3 million/1.4 rating) and Chicago PD (7 million/1.3 rating) each gained a tenth.
