DuShon Monique Brown Dies; Chicago Fire Star Was Only 49

DuShon Monique Brown passed away on Friday at the age of 49 years old.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the beloved Chicago Fire star passed away just after 12 p.m. at St. James Olympia Field Hospital in Chicago.
The cause of death has yet to be revealed, but TMZ reports that DuShon's family called the paramedics because she was feeling ill, and she was subsequently rushed to the hospital.
UPDATE: TMZ is reporting the actress admitted herself to the hospital a few days ago with chest pains.
"The ‘Chicago Fire’ family is devastated to lose one of its own,” said executive producer Dick Wolf.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with DuShon's family and we will all miss her.”
Brown has a appeared in a wealth of TV shows over the years, but she has appeared in NBC's hit drama Chicago Fire since 2012 in the recurring role of Connie, the assistant to Firehouse 51's Chief Boden.
If you watch Chicago Fire online, you will know that Connie was not one to joke and laugh with the workers of the firehouse.
Instead, she liked to keep things by the book, and that helped her do her job to the best of her ability.
Brown has also appeared in other hit series such as Shameless, Prison Break, and Empire.
In addition to the small screen, Brown also appeared in a string of stage shows.
