Supergirl Season 3 Episode 11 Review: Fort Rozz

RIP Livewire.

It was unexpected to see her give her life for Kara on Supergirl Season 3 Episode 11, but that's just the kind of hero Kara is. She manages to get through to villains and turn them into good guys.

Can she do the same thing with Reign?

Livewire Takes on Reign - Supergirl Season 3 Episode 11

Kara's number one rule has always been no killing, and that hasn't changed despite the severe beat down she received from Reign. She doesn't even know yet that Sam is her alter-ego, but she can still sense that there is something good inside her.

Kara believes there's good in everyone.

Livewire: All I'm saying is somebody as evil as Reign deserves to die.
Kara: And anyone else who thinks otherwise is just a sucker?
Livewire: Now you're catching on.

Livewire is firmly on the side of killing her, but her heroic death only proves to Kara that anyone can be saved, no matter how far gone or how evil they seem. Thanks to Psi, there was a teeny tiny glimpse of that with Reign, but it didn't last long enough for her to discover it was Sam.

We have to be on the verge of that discovery.

Alex knows now that Sam's losing time. It's only a matter of time now before Alex figures out that Sam is Reign. Once she starts putting two and two together, there's a simple way to confirm it. The easiest test to perform would be to have J'onn try to read her mind.

Since Sam/Reign is Kryptonian like Kara, he won't be able to, and that should be all they need to confirm their suspicions (once they get to that point).

Hopefully, this happens sooner rather than later because it's already starting to feel like they're dragging out too much.

Livewire is Back - Supergirl Season 3 Episode 11

Sam is getting stronger inside of Reign. We just saw her break through once thanks to Psi; maybe she'll be able to do it again. If Alex doesn't figure it out talking to Sam about her blackouts, Kara may be able to the next time Sam can take control.

If she had held on just a moment or two longer, the cat would already be out of the bag.

We learned there are two more Worldkillers out there, Purity and Pestilence, and it looks like we just met at least one of them. Will Kara be able to find them before Reign does?

Kara's had enough trouble fighting just one Worldkiller, taking down three would be nearly impossible without a significant amount of help.

Alex sounds a whole lot like my older brothers. They used to force me to watch all kinds of scary movies when I was a kid. I was terrified of all my dolls for awhile after they made me watch Child's Play.

I was also a lot younger than Kara when they made me watch The Shining, but it is funny that an alien with superpowers was afraid of a horror movie.

Alex babysitting Ruby made for an adorable subplot. It's easy to see why she wants kids, and that little out of the blue text from Maggie while she was babysitting was a blatant reminder that this was why they broke up.

Honestly, are we supposed to believe that Maggie didn't check in with Alex after seeing Kara beaten within an inch of her life?

They broke up on amicable terms; you would think she would want to know if Kara was okay.

Ruby: So there's a girl who lives three houses down, she shoved me in kindergarten.
Alex: Don't push it.

Alex threatening the girl who bullied Ruby was hilarious and amazing. Even when she's out of commission due to a broken leg, she's still a bad ass.

She's going to make an excellent mother someday. No one will want to mess with her kids.

Livewire is Down - Supergirl Season 3 Episode 11

I think Winn was feeling a little threatened by Brainy.

He's used to being the smart guy who handles all of the technological aspects of the DEO, but now he's competing with someone smarter than him. The problem is that no matter how intelligent Brainy is, Winn still has the advantage because he is more familiar with the options they have at present.

I have to say though, I would like to know what kind of tricked-out espresso makers they have in the future.

It's really sad that Livewire died because the SuperWomen team up was a lot of fun. It would have been nice to get a chance to see them all in action together again sometime.

Her sarcastic humor will be sorely missed.

Livewire: Nice tiara.
Psi: Why don't you zap it off me and I'll show you what I can do. It would be such a delicious pleasure to bring you to your knees and watch you writhe in pain.
Livewire: Do you always talk like that?
Psi: At least I don't sound like an illiterate mean girl.
Livewire: Okay, Regina George.

Psi is still around though, and I think it's safe to say we'll be seeing her again. Unlike J'onn's telepathic abilities, Psi's powers work on Reign. But, can she be trusted?

There has to be more to the story of why she used her powers on Imra, and what exactly did Imra see? I'm starting to wonder if Imra is as trustworthy as she seems, or if she could be hiding something sinister.

I also could very well be making too much out of a small interaction, but I do think it means something, and I believe we will see Psi again soon.

What do you guys think? Will you miss Livewire?

Don't forget, you can watch Supergirl online anytime!

I saw you get body-slammed by that Glow reject on Christmas. It was all over the news. You think I'm up for a beat down like that just because you said "pretty please?" Honey, you haven't been reading my psych evals correctly.
