We've known for quite a few months now that Roseanne would be returning to the air in 2018.
With much of the cast being announced earlier this year, there was a glaring omission from the list of returning actors: Johnny Galecki.
The star is signed as a series regular on the CBS megahit, The Big Bang Theory, so the chances of him appearing were already slim.
Executive producer Whitney Cummings shared an Instagram Story on Thursday night, and it confirmed Galecki's involvement with the revival series.
The post does not show the actor in character. Instead, it features the actor's set chair, with his name on it.
Given that the post originates from Whitney's Instagram account, we think it's fair to say that it's enough confirmation we need.
The show is well into production, with Season 1 of the revival scheduled to wrap within the next few weeks.
This could also mean that Galecki will appear in the final episodes of the first season of the revival.
Galecki played David Healy on the original series and was an instant hit with fans. He was swiftly promoted to series regular and remained with the show until it came to an end in 1997.
David's two children with Darlene were cast earlier this year, and fans thought it was just a matter of time before Galecki's involvement was announced.
Shameless star, Emma Kenny has been cast as David and Darlene's teenage daughter Harris, while newcomer Ames McNamara has been cast as Mark.
The show initially received an order for eight episodes, but it was revealed earlier this month that one extra had been added on.
