Grey's Anatomy Spinoff Adds Four to Cast: Who's In?

at . Comments

The Grey's Anatomy spinoff was announced way back in May, and details are slowly trickling out about the series which was granted a straight-to-series order.

ABC knows being part of the Grey's brand means it is likely to have a built-in audience for whatever shows the network manages to spin from it.

Grey Damon Flash

A planted episode later this season on Grey's Anatomy will be sure to help get some sampling for the series.

The latest addition to the franchise will focus on the firefighters in Seattle and how they put their lives on the line to save every civilian they can from the craziest of situations.

According to Deadline, Grey Damon (Friday Night Lights), Okieriete Onaodowan (Broadway’s Hamilton), Danielle Savre (Too Close To Home) and Barrett Doss (Marvel’s Iron Fist) have been added as series regulars to the series.

Jaina Lee Ortiz TCA Fox

Rosewood's Jaina Lee Ortiz was the first person to join the cast, and she previously took to Instagram to announce that filming had started on the 10-episode-series.

It was later revealed that current Grey's Anatomy series regular Jason George was joining the spinoff as a series regular, and it left the fate of Ben Warren's relationship with Miranda Bailey up in the air.

At the time, it was said that it was possible for him to appear in both shows.

Resident Swagger - Grey's Anatomy Season 13 Episode 22

If you watch Grey's Anatomy online, you will already know that Ben and Miranda's scenes are generally some of the show's most comical, so it would be a mistake to drive a wedge between them.

This spinoff will mark the second entry into the Grey's Anatomy franchise. As you are probably aware, Kate Walsh took her Grey's Anatomy character, Addison Montgomery to a new location to launch Private Practice

That show lasted for six seasons and came to an end 2013.

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

There's a reason I said I'd be happy alone. It wasn't 'cause I thought I'd be happy alone. It was because I thought if I loved someone and then it fell apart, I might not make it. It's easier to be alone, because what if you learn that you need love and you don't have it? What if you like it and lean on it? What if you shape your life around it and then it falls apart? Can you even survive that kind of pain? Losing love is like organ damage. It's like dying. The only difference is death ends. This? It could go on forever.

Oh, screw beautiful. I'm brilliant. If you want to appease me, compliment my brain.
