At some point last season, we were watching four of Dick Wolf's Chicago series in the one week.

As if it wasn't bad enough losing Chicago Justice, Chicago Med Season 3 was delayed to accommodate Law & Order: True Crime - The Menendez Brothers.

Thankfully, the new anthology show is just scheduled to run for eight episodes, and NBC has officially confirmed when fans can expect the medical drama to make its highly anticipated return to the air.

The peacock network has said the show will now return Tuesday, November 21 at 10/9c. That means it should have a boost from sophomore sensation; This Is Us for some of its episodes.

It's unclear when, exactly, This Is Us will stop for its Winter hiatus, but considering Med has a full 22 episode order, the show will likely reap some of the benefits of airing behind the hit during the first half of 2018.

Chicago Med Season 2 suffered in the ratings after being moved to Thursdays. It shed almost 30 percent to 6.7 million viewers and a 1.2 rating among adults 18-49.

For comparison purposes, Chicago Justice was canceled after one season, and it averaged 6.1 million viewers and a 1.1 rating among.

If you watch Chicago Med online, you will know that a lot was left up in the air after Chicago Med Season 2 Episode 23. The biggest twist of all involved Dr. Charles being shot by a patient.
