TV Ratings Report: Star Trek: Discovery Opens Well
Paul Dailly at .CBS All Access bound, Star Trek: Discovery aired its first episode last night as a preview on CBS.
Unsurprisingly, it pulled in a solid audience with 8.2 million viewers and a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49.
Those numbers are solid for Sunday nights, but the ratings are not important because the show will likely be measured about how many CBS All Access viewers watch.
Early reports say that the show has managed to send record sign-ups over to the streaming service.
Over on Fox, Who Shot Biggie Tupac secured 2.8 million viewers and a 1.1 rating.
ABC went with originals of Celebrity Family Feud (5.1 million/1.0 rating), Steve Harvey's Funderdome (3.9 million/0.8 rating), and The $100,000 Pyramid (3.8 million/0.6 rating).
