Gotham is adding a new villain to it's already bursting at the seams roster for Season 4.
If you're a fan comic books, you will likely remember Pyg as the Circus of Strange leader who got his kicks by making an army of his own.
The army consisted of victims of his who were forced to wear doll-like masks and fight for him.
“Michael is one of my best friends,” Gotham executive producer Danny Cannon told TVLine.
“He was in my film school graduation movie, when we were both amateurs. And now he’s joining the fold as Professor Pyg,” he continued.
The report also confirmed that the role would be a multi-episode arc.
Cerveris has previously appeared on the likes of Fringe, The Good Wife and more recently, The Tick.
If you watch Gotham online, you will know that the DC villains have always been scary, and it sounds like the show is not about to dial back on the scares.
When Gotham Season 4 does debut, it will be on a brand new night. It is leaving Monday's behind and taking aim at Thursday nights, leading into The Orville.
Gotham Season 3 concluded crazily with a big death, and a huge reveal that one of the characters was linked to none other than Solomon Grundy.
We think it's fair to say that the new season is highly anticipated by fans since they have had months to process all of the crazy twists.
