MTV's Teen Wolf is coming to a close sooner than you may think. 

The cable network has announced a schedule for the remainder of Teen Wolf Season 6, and the series finale has been scheduled for September 24. 

In order for the series to conclude on that night, back-to-back episodes will air twice. 

The plan of action is as follows:

SUNDAY, AUG. 20

Episodes 14 and 15

SUNDAY, AUG. 27

Preempted by MTV Video Music Awards

SUNDAY, SEPT. 3

Episode 16

SUNDAY, SEPT. 10

Episode 17

SUNDAY, SEPT. 17

Episode 18 and 19

SUNDAY, SEPT. 24

Series finale/100th episode at 8 pm. It will be an expanded episode. 

It is good to know when, exactly, the show will come to a close, but doubling up the episodes makes it seem like MTV wants the series gone as quickly as possible. 

It's a little odd when you consider the fact that MTV is interested in rebooting the series in a few years with some big changes. 

Maybe they want it gone sooner so they can bring it back quicker. 

If you watch Teen Wolf online, you will know that the final season has featured the return of some of the show's most beloved characters. 

Tyler Hoechlin returned on Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 11 and is expected to make multiple more appearances before the finale. 

However, Arden Cho and Crystal Reed will not be staging comebacks. It's a shame, but sometimes schedules just don't work out.
