With the dust settling on the news that Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park are departing Hawaii Five-0, the series is now adding some new blood to take up the slots left open.

Plan of Attack - Hawaii Five-0 Season 7 Episode 22

First up, Ian Anthony Dale has been upped to series regular ahead of Season 8. He has played Kono's husband, Adam since Hawaii Five-0 Season 2.

Over the years, he has become a trusted person, and McGarrett will recruit him to be a more permanent fixture.

It makes sense when you consider the fact that series has lost much-loved characters.

There has been an outcry of support for Dae Kim and Park since the news broke that they would be exiting.

So, it looks like the powers that be are trying to give viewers more of a character they like in order to steer clear of any more controversial news.

Meaghan Rath and Beulah Koale will be joining the show when it debuts later this year.

Meaghan Rath

Rath will play Tani Rey, who appears on McGarrett's radar after being kicked out of the Police Academy.

She is poised to bring a lot of drama with her when you consider the fact that she was a top student.

Why was she kicked out? We'll need to tune in to find out.

Rath's previous TV credits include starring roles in Being Human and Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life.

Beulah will portray Junior Reigns. He is a former Navy SEAL, who seems to think his skills from that role are transferable to a role within the Five-0.

Beulah Cole

He reaches out to McGarrett, who is all too happy to welcome him to the team.
