NBC 2017 Fall Schedule Shuffle: This Is Us Reclaims Original Time Slot & More!

at . Comments

If you were saddened to learn This Is Us was heading to Thursdays and meeting up with some awful sports preemptions, you weren't alone.

And now, you can thank NBC for considering people like us and rethinking their decision to move the serial story.

Instead, This Is Us is heading BACK to its original Tuesday slot and taking Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders with it.

You're Lying - This Is Us Season 1 Episode 11

They'll be airing after The Voice, which continues to mean very good things for shows on NBC.

Thursdays will now feature a two-hour comedy block with Superstore, The Good Place, Will & Grace and Great News, followed by the second highest rated series on the network, Chicago Fire.

It's unclear how this will affect NBC's plans to relaunch "Must-See TV" on Thursday nights, but we might find out more as this story progresses.

Surely the Network's number 2 drama and the return of Will & Grace will be worthy of the slogan, right?

The updated Tuesday and Thursday fall schedules are below:

TUESDAYS

8 p.m. – The Voice
9 p.m. – This Is Us
10 p.m. – Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders

THURSDAYS

8 p.m. – Superstore
8:30 p.m. – The Good Place
9 p.m. – Will & Grace
9:30 p.m. – Great News
10 p.m. – Chicago Fire

Alright gang!

What do you think about the schedule change? Are you pleased you can continue watching This Is Us in the same great place?

If you could tweak other schedules, what might you do?

I'm relieved. Football hiatuses could have been killer for a serial story the likes of that told on This Is Us.

Over to you!

This Is Us Quotes

In my experience Kevin, there is no such thing as a long time ago. There's only memories that mean something and memories that don't.

Sylvester Stallone

Duke: You want to know what I finally figured out, Kate?
Kate: What?
Duke: It's a helluva lot easier to accept who you are, in all your damaged glory, than to try to be someone you're not. It's sure a hell of a lot more fun, too.
