Whether you're heading to The Good Place, The Bad Place or that middle place that's still a little murky, we have news!
NBC has opted to give us The Good Place Season 2 for a 13 episode run.
With the cliffhanger from The Good Place Season 1, we're all breathing easier.
As The Good Place drew the curtain on its freshman season, we discovered Michael had fooled us all.
The six key players on the series, including Eleanor, Chidi and Tahani, were all specifically chosen as part of a colossal joke in the afterworld.
How quickly could Hell's manipulator's take six people who thought they were in The Good Place and make them completely miserable?
WHAT?!
Yep, they were all in The Bad Place all along. Eleanor never imagined she belonged anywhere other than The Bad Place, and Jianyu agreed with her in his own assessment.
The others, though, were shocked and dismayed.
From our point of view, it seemed a little hard to believe Tahani could be as conceited as she was and rise so swiftly to The Good Place.
Seriously, would someone like her still be stomping around trumpeting about all of her good deeds?
But what on earth had Chidi done to get derailed so miserably? Then again, the joke's on Michael and his cronies, isn't it?
The gang found each other and fell into fast and lasting friendships.
Or did they? With their minds wiped and new people now cast as their soul mates, they'll have to find their way back to their true friends, while we cheer them on.
“Mike Schur has always had one of the most fertile and imaginative minds in comedy, but what he brought us with the first season of The Good Place was just extraordinary,” NBC’s Jennifer Salke Salke said.
“We absolutely can’t wait to see where these characters go, literally, in season two. A big thank you to Mike, the writers and cast for delivering a series in which we all take such enormous pride.”
The series stars Ted Danson, Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, Manny Jacinto and D’Arcy Carden. At least for now.
Will there be new faces intruding upon our favorite characters when we begin the next season? We're not sure, but we can't wait to find out.
