Chad ditched Abigail to talk to Gabi, Theo got busted by Valerie, and Nicole was still in the dark about Holly on Days of Our Lives.

Our TV Fanatics Jack Ori and Christine Orlando are joined by Tinab from MyHourglass a Days of Our Lives fan forum debate is Abigail should be compared to Stefano, if Claire is using Theo, and if Nicole should be told the suspicions about Holly on Days of Our Lives. 

Should Chad have gone off to talk to Gabi and left Abigail at the town square?

Tinab: That as very inconsiderate of Chad to go off with Gabi. Yes, the conversation had to happen but very bad timing. 

Jack: I thought that was so ridiculous. He had just got through telling Abigail they were going to face the fallout of her past behavior as a couple! Too bad those were empty words.

Christine: I can see how Chad is torn. He has real feelings for Gabi and that’s hard to walk away from, even if you do believe it’s what you should do. That said, his timing was poor and the conversation could have waited for later. 

Can you compare what Abby did (faking her death) to Stefano doing the same?

Tinab: Not even close .... Abby was mentally ill and thought she was helping people, whereas Stefano was just being cruel. 

Jack: I guess in a way it's the same. In both cases the "death" affected many lives. But Abby did it out of mental illness and a misguided attempt to protect Chad from having to deal with her problems. Stefano was most probably looking to cause trouble.

Christine: Yes and no. What it’s done to their loved ones is the same and causing someone that kind of grief is cruel. But whereas Gabi made a misguided choice because of her mental illness, Stefano is known for faking his death on a whim.

Is Claire using Theo or do you think she truly cares about him?

Tinab: I think she cares as much as she can. She is very selfish.

Jack: I think Claire does care about Theo but there's an element of wanting to prove she's better than Ciara in there too.

Christine: As Tinab says, she cares as much as she’s capable. Claire is so self absorbed that I don’t think she’s able to love anyone else at this point. 

Should Valerie tell Abe about the bug Theo and Claire planted?

Tinab: Yes! Abe needs to know, but she should ask him to not mention it to Theo.

Jack: I liked Valerie dealing with it with Theo one-on-one. If this kind of behavior continues I do think she should tell Abe but building rapport with Theo is the best way to stop him from seeing her as the enemy.

Christine: I think Valerie handled this well. Theo’s not a kid any more and talking to him directly was a good move. Hopefully, he’ll stop seeing her as the enemy. 

Do you think Deimos and Brady should tell Nicole about their suspicions concerning baby Holly?

Tinab: Eventually they have to but I understand them waiting. Nicole will be hurt when she finds out they had suspicions and didn't share them with her.

Jack: Yes. Nicole does not need their protection and it is offensive that they are keeping this secret from her.

Christine: I understand why they’re hiding this until they have proof. Letting her think this child is hers and then finding out she’s not will decimate her and she’s dealt with more than her fair share of loss. But I hope that this story gets wrapped up soon. Watching Nicole miss out on being a mother to her daughter is just cruel. 

Was there anything that disappointed you this week in Salem?

Tinab: Yes, another fake Stefano death. I’m over it.

Jack: I wish JJ's heroism had been on-screen and that his proud moment had not quickly been turned into an excuse to put him and Lani together. She seemed to be trying to get him to overdo the alcohol again so that she could take advantage of him again. Ugh. And this Abby/Chad/Gabi triangle needs to go. Way to ruin the sweet Chad/Abby scenes with this nonsense.

Christine: I hate that Nicole still doesn’t have her daughter. It’s simply not fair. 

What was your favorite quote, scene or story line from this week on Days?

Tinab: My favorite scene was Abby, Thomas and Chad in the square ...all relaxed and genuine.

Jack: I loved Abe telling JJ he deserved his promotion. I want to see more interactions between these two (not concerning Lani though please).

Christine: Valerie and Jennifer’s conversation was my favorite moment and I loved that they talked about how controversial Valerie’s biracial romance with David had been in the 1970s and 1980s and how ignorant people can be. I’m glad the show didn’t forget that important story.
