TV Ratings Report: Empire Continues To Dip

Fox's sophomore sensation, Empire, continued to dip in the ratings last night. 

Empire Season 2 Episode 14 pulled in 9.4 million viewers and a 3.6 rating among people 18-49. These are still solid numbers, but the continued erosion has to be somewhat concerning for Fox. 

Regaining His Position - Empire

Before that, Rosewood was even with last week, pulling in 4.6 million viewers and a 1.2 rating. 

And elsewhere around the dial:

  • On CBS, Survivor (9.2 million/2.0 rating) and Criminal Minds (9 million/1.7 rating) perked up, but Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (7.5 million/1.3 rating) slipped.
  • On NBC, Heartbeat (4.1 million/0.8 rating) returned up a tick. Then, encores of Law & Order: SVU (3.8 million/0.8 rating) and Chicago PD (4.1 million/0.8 rating) filled the rest of the night for NBC.
  • On ABC, the only original was Nashville (3.7 million/0.8 rating), which slipped two tenths. Before that, it was encores of The Middle (4.5 million/1.1 rating), The Goldbergs (4.1 million/1.1 rating), Modern Family 4.2 million/1.2 rating) and Black-ish (3.6 million/1.1 rating).
  • And on The CW, it was encores of Arrow (1.2 million/0.3 rating) and Supernatural (0.9 million/0.3 rating).
