ABC's Thursday dramas were back to Originals last night, but all three saw noticeable erosion from their fall averages.

Starting things off was Grey's Anatomy, which managed 8.2 million viewers and a 2.4 rating among people 18-49.

That led into the highly anticipated return of Scandal with 6.9 million viewers and a 2.1 rating.

Closing things off was How To Get Away With Murder at 5.8 million viewers and a 1.8 rating. These are disappointing results for all three shows, but props to Grey's for being the biggest of the block even after all these years on the air.

And elsewhere around the dial:

  • On The CW, Legends of Tomorrow stabilised (2.4 million/0.9 rating), but The 100 (1.3 million/0.5 rating) dropped to its Season 2 average.
  • On Fox, Two hours of American Idol (8.9 million/2.1 rating) stayed competitive.
  • On CBS, The Big Bang Theory (16 million/3.8 rating), Life In Pieces (9.5 million/2.1 rating), Mom (8.1 million/1.7 rating) and Elementary (6.1 million/1.1 rating) were all even.
  • And on NBC, You, Me & The Apocalypse (3 million/0.8 rating), The Blacklist (6.3 million/1.4 rating) and Shades of Blue (5.4 million/1.1 rating) dipped.
