Younger will be aging!
That's great news for the TV Land comedy created by Darren Star, which focuses on Liza (Sutton Foster), a 40-year-old woman thrust back into the workplace and dating pool after a divorce who decides to disguise herself as a 26-year-old to give herself a leg up in the publishing world.
And oh does she have legs! Younger's second season has yet to air, beginning on January 13, so this is a great boost of confidence for the sophomore series.
“Younger was a critical success and fan favorite right out of the gate, and Darren Star and his team of writers have brought an even sexier, shocking sophomore season to the table,” said Keith Cox, EVP, Development and Original Programming, TV Land.
The series also stars Miriam Shor as Diana, Liza's boss at the publishing company where she works, Hilary Duff as Kelsey, her new BFF at the office, Debbie Mazar as Maggie, her actual best friend and roommate, Nico Tortella as Josh, the hunky, oh-so-young tattoo artist with whom Liza finds herself in a relationship and the cast rounds out with Molly Bernard, Peter Hermann and Dan Amboyer.
Star Had this to say about what's ahead, “We’re keeping Liza’s story alive front and center and giving room for these other characters. We’ll continue to see the balance of her adult life between her 40s and 20s, plus there’s the added twist with Josh knowing her age. The lines are getting blurred between her two worlds.”
Excited? We are, too!
Younger Season 2 returns to TV Land Wednesday, January 19 at 10/9c.
