at .

The ratings are out there.

Yes, The X-Files launched with very solid numbers on Fox. Did anyone expect anything less? The highly anticipated return of the sci-fi drama attracted 13.5 million viewers and a 5.1 rating among people 18-49. There's no doubt that the show got a boost from NFL Football, which amassed 42.5 million viewers and a 14.9 rating.

The true test for The X-Files will be how it performs tonight without the lead-in support.

Together Again - The X-Files

The Post Game secured 20.6 million viewers and a 7.7 rating. As always, due to the football, expect bigger than normal adjustments from Fox.

And elsewhere around the dial:

  • On ABC, Galavant (2.1 million/0.5 rating) hit a new series low. An encore of Agent Carter (1.4 million/0.4 rating) failed to compete.
  • On CBS, encores of 60 Minutes (8.4 million/1.2 rating), Madam Secretary (5.2 million/0.7 rating) and NCIS (5.9 million/0.8 rating) filled the night.
  • And on NBC, it was movie night, with Bridesmaids (2.8 million/0.9 rating).
