Marvel's Agent Carter is not long for this world.
The two-hour second season premiere opened with just 3.1 million viewers and a 0.9 rating among people 18-49. These are over half the numbers the show launched with last year and represent double digit declines from the season finale. It's hard to imagine there being much more of the show after this sophomore run, so enjoy it while it lasts.
Earlier in the night for ABC was Marvel's Captain America: 75 Heroic Years which managed 3.2 million viewers and a 0.9 rating.
And elsewhere around the dial:
- On The CW, it was the The Flash's (3.4 million/1.3 rating) midseason premiere and two specials - DC's Legends of Tomorrow (2.1 million/0.9 rating) and DC Presents: Dawn of the Justice League (1.8 million/0.8 rating).
- On Fox, New Girl (3 million/1.3 rating), Grandfathered (2.6 million/0.9 rating), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2.4 million/1.1 rating) and The Grinder (2 million/0.8 rating) ticked down.
- On NBC, Hollywood Game Night (4.6 million/1.2 rating) was even, but both Chicago Med (7 million/1.6 rating) and Chicago Fire (8 million/1.7 rating) slipped.
- And on CBS, NCIS (17.4 million/2.4 rating), NCIS: New Orleans (13.2 million/1.8 rating) and Limitless (6.4 million/1.2 rating) all dropped.
