TV Ratings Report: Grey's Goes Out on Top

at .

ABC viewers won't be as thankful as they have been that it's Thursday for a very long time going forward.

Because the network's beloved TGIT lineup is in hiatus until February 11.

But at least Grey's Anatomy Season 12 Episode 8 went out on a very strong note for the network, garnering 8.5 million total viewers and a 2.5 rating among 18-49-year olds, matching its winter finale numbers from two years ago. Impressive.

Elsewhere on ABC, Scandal (8.1 million/2.4 rating) and How to Get Away With Murder (7.1 million/2.3 rating) both rose in audience while gaining two and four tenths, respectively.

And elsewhere around the dial:

  • On Fox, Bones (5.2 million/1.0 rating) and Sleepy Hollow‘s winter finales (2.8 million/0.8 rating) each ticked down a bit.
  • Heroes Reborn (3.7 million/1.1 rating) and The Blacklist (6.8 million/1.5 rating) held firm, while The Player‘s series finale (3.4 million/0.8 rating) inched up a tenth.
  • On CBS, The Big Bang (15.2 million/3.8 rating) inched up... Life in Pieces (9 million/2.0 rating) and Elementary (6 million/1.0 rating) gained two tenths .... and Mom (8 mil/1.8) and 2 Broke Girls (6.9 million/1.9 rating) rose three tenths.
  • And on The CW, The Vampire Diaries (1.2 million/0.5 rating) dipped a tenth, while The Originals (820K/0.4 rating) is hemorrhaging viewers at this point.
