The Notebook is coming to television.
As confirmed by network President Mark Pedowitz at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, The CW is eyeing an adaption of the Nicholas Sparks novel that is also every woman's favorite movie.
The 2004 film starred Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams as Noah and Allie, star-crossed lovers whose romance overcame the test of time, economics and a myriad of other obstacles.
Sparks himself will serve as Executive Producer on the potential series, which will reportedly only focus on Noah and Allie in their younger years.
“The Notebook is a very, very well-received book and motion picture,” Pedowitz said this week.
“It is going to be set after World War II. At this point, the pilot is not done. I do not believe we’re going to see the older couple. But things change, and we’re just now in the development stage.”
See. As Noah once said, it's not over. It still isn't over!!!
