Rick Castle can't wait for things to get back to normal as he heads to the murder scene of a toy executive on Castle Season 7 Episode 2 but nothing is quite like it used to be.

An interviewer ambushes Castle on TV when they question him about whether his disappearance was a publicity stunt for the release of his next Nikki Heat novel, Raging Heat. In response, Rick offers a $250,000 reward to anyone who can help him figure out what happened.

A newlyweds honeymoon photos show him talking to Henry Jenkins in Montreal so he heads there and finds a safe deposit box with video messages to Kate, Alexis and Martha. On it he tells Kate that if she's seeing this he's probably dead and that he'd loved her, always.

When Rick gets an address off of the video he heads back to Montreal and finds Henry Jenkins who tells him that he asked not to remember anything that happened. He even gives Castle proof in the story that Rick has never shared with anyone...why he became a mystery writer.
