Let the debate over a new panel of judges start now...
Fox just announced that American Idol has been renewed for Season 14, a mostly foregone conclusion despite the show suffering through its lowest-rated season of all-time at the moment.
The next round of auditions will kick off in Minneapolis on June 18 and will also make stops in New Orleans, Uniondale, NY, Nashville and San Francisco.
The current Idol season is down to its final four contestants, with someone being eliminated tonight and the finale set for Wednesday, May 21.
Last night, conversely, Fox canceled four shows: Enlisted, Surviving Jack, Rake and Dads.
