Castle fans can expect the three B's to be a big part of the new year... starting with a  brand new baby.

When the show returns January 6 with Castle Season 6 Episode 11, it will bring with it the arrival of a bouncing baby Ryan, but don't expect the delivery to be uneventful.

As Kevin Ryan's portrayer Seamus Dever told TV Guide Magazine: "Not only does it look as though Ryan may not be there to watch the birth of his child, he may not live to see the baby at all." The cause of such drama? Ryan and partner Det. Esposito will be trapped inside a burning building.

At least the daddy-to-be has a good excuse for missing the big event. And don't think that means Jenny delivers without any help. She'll have Dr. Lanie Parish and Kate Beckett by her side.

Speaking of daddies, James Brolin returns as mystery man Jackson Hunt but perhaps not in the way most fans expected. 

As Stana Katic teased, Beckett "has a big question about Jackson's true motives," and worries that Castle's long lost daddy is not "all that he seems."

Apparently Brolin would only return to the series if his character revealed a darker side and it sounds as though he's gotten his wish.

"I wanted viewers to find out how deadly he is," Brolin says. "He gets a thrill out of terminating people who deserve it. The thrill is there, with no feeling of remorse." 

To make matters worse, Brolin describe Hunt as kind of an "a**hole" when he "talks down to his son like he's 5 years old," and he "is very attracted to Kate."

That should get Castle fans riled up.  

But if anything will make them happy, it's knowing that a Caskett wedding date has been set... although creator Andrew Marlowe isn't sharing it just yet. And if that's not bad enough, he also teases that it's certainly possible for Senator Bracken or the 3XK killer to end up back in the mix to complicate the couples plans.  

Thankfully we'll have the January 27th episode to look forward to where Beckett finds her wedding dress, although the event may turn out to be as emotional as it is joyous. Marlowe points out that it's"an emotional moment for her because this is something she would have been doing with her [deceased] mother."
