AMC Cancels The Killing... Again

AMC has once again given a death sentence to The Killing.

The network pulled the plug after a ratings-diminished second season, only to surprisingly change its mind after a few months. But it's safe to assume this latest move will stick.

“We have made the difficult decision not to move forward with a fourth season of The Killing,” said AMC in a statement. “We want to thank our great partners at Fox Television Studios, creator Veena Sud, an extraordinary cast and the dedicated fans who watched.”

The finale of The Killing Season 3 drew 1.5 million viewers, a slight increase over the Season 2 finale, yet not enough to earn the drama another set of episodes.

The 2011 premiere of the series garnered 2.7 million households.
