yep.As things evolved so far, you are right there may be a fall out between the two!hope it won't last too long!:(

Not sure if we will see happy Lisbon / Jane moment in this next episode. The few times she appears in the 5x19 promos, she looks fed up and sad.

I'm expecting a fall out between the two, and I'll be surprised if it never happens before the show ends. Maybe they'll show it in 5x22? Whenever they decide to make it happen, I just hope it's quick, so they can put us out of this misery soon. I miss their playful banter. :(

Hope that next episodes will have some Jisbon moments. We need some, just like a breath of fresh air.Ok the moment when Lisbon sang kansas city was a very cute one, but not flirty enough ;))) I want some more!!I am just too tired of Jane being so caught up with Rj and anguish and lisbon tottaly heart broken gravitating around him.I want some sunny episodes, just like it the first 3 series!!!!!!

hei!
I agree with you estatica, Jane was faking it,but also enjoyed the role in sleeping with Lorelei. At that time I think he was cool. But, later, in the series, after Loreley is caught and escapes, when Lisbon is pressuring him to say that she is playing him and he can't deny he got involved anh has feelings for her, at the beginning he doesn't admit it, but finally he told her, that maybe there are some feelings involved. He got the chance to know her better when he got her out of the jail, and even sympathise with her suffering, as RJ killed her sister, and wanted her to discover this alone. But, seems that she was too much into RJ, or she wanted solo revenge against him and this brought her death!Lorelei was as damaged as jane is, so they both could interact on a different level.

@Watcher I think that is the reason why I love the show. Everyone has legitimate reasons to think very differently. And no one is right or wrong because the episode and the performances are ambiguous enough to support each versions. I can understand who thinks otherwise, who has doubts, or those who think like me.

@Estatica - I agree with you that Jane knew she was working for RJ and he was playing a role the entire time. He acted as she expected him to act.

This question has come up many times. I think that while some people seem uncertain, most either strongly believe that he knew, or strongly believe that he didn't. But it is always an interesting debate.

@KM and @Watcher wholeheartedly agree with your take on 4x24.

I believe he knew what he was doing from the start, so I'll just have to agree to disagree with everyone who believes otherwise. He slept with Lorelei and enjoyed it as much as an exhausted man can enjoy sex with a stranger who is working for his nemesis. The directing in the episode shows his vacant stare when he wakes up, right after Lisbon walked the streets alone. As soon as he sees Lorelei, he resumes his part and plays the gullible one again, so she can deliver RJ's message without suspecting his break down and leave the room. I don't think he looks perky at all. He looks like he is playing a role. We've seen Jane acting happy and content before, and that wasn't it.

Agree @Watcher, almost certainly not his best material.

@KM I'm willing to concede disappointment on Jane's part rather than full-blown abandonment, although I do think that's the bottommost feeling. Feeling it doesn't necessarily mean being overwhelmed by it like it did Teresa, especially after she found out about Lorelei. But surely it underscored that he was on his own. He knew Lisbon had to have got the word that he was in jail and naturally assumed it was she that bailed him out. After all, who else would? He certainly harbored no resentment towards Teresa that I could see, really not that kind of guy I don't think. The happiness, relief of seeing her washed any of that at their first meeting. I don't think Jane blames Lisbon for his sleeping with Lorelei either.

@ Entwife, -You are right feelings are neither wrong nor right, but they can be legitimate and illegitimate. I don't agree that Jane felt abandoned by Lisbon. I can concede disappointed, maybe let down. But legitimate feelings of abandonment do not exist for Jane. Nor do we have evidence to support that Jane felt abandoned. The opposite if we take his word as authority, then he suspected who Lorelei was all along and her showing up at his door claiming to have bailed him out and bearing soup would serve to strengthen Jane's argument that he was on the right track. We have further evidence from his meeting Lisbon at the church that he did not feel abandoned. Lisbon's character has evidence of feeling abandoned and the fact that Jane disappeared and severed contact. He was the one that refused help. In a small way, claiming Jane was abandoned by Lisbon is blaming her for his actions. I don't think Jane's character blames her for his choice to sleep with Lorelei.

I agree with you to some extent. I doubt he just laid there, but I also doubt he used all of his best material. I suspect he kept things pretty basic. While I'm sure he enjoyed it...sex is sex after all, I doubt it was one of the most passionate encounters of his life. Again, he was exhausted, just got out of jail, half drunk, depressed...
