this was a ho-hum episode for me.....average IMO but definitely not up to the standard of the last few episodes.....Potia was interesting and the actress pulled the part off as believable....I cannot say the same for the part of James...possibly it was the acting....just didn't come off as real.

I have been really enjoying this season of Supernatural and this episode was completely Awesome! Honestly, I cant believe they went there in a few of those scenes! have i mentioned how much I love my show?
Portia was great as a familiar and actually had chemistry with both sam and dean which is extremely unusual. Even while wearing a dog collar and calling her guy Master--she was still likeable without being a Mary sue.
Am also enjoying the relationship btw the boys again so I hope Sam doesnt ruin it by hiding the fact that he is coughing up blood.
This may have been a filler episode, but it had a lot of good little details which IMO make the heart of the show.

This was an ok episode. I liked James and Portia; especially her because of her strenght, cinfidence and passion. However, I did have an issue with a black woman, wearing a collar calling a white man Master. I found this very weird and insecutive. Hell is black hsitory month and you air this episode.
Sam and Dean trust issues is getting old. Hasnt Sam proved to Dean.. that he can hang with the best of them. Sam beat freakin lucifer. Give Sam a break Dean.

I love Season 8 (especially myth arc episodes 8x07, 8x10, 8x14) but this ep and 8x03 were not so good. Bitten was really boring and this one just rubbed me the wrong way. But I have igh hopes for next episodes :) Gods are always fun.

This was a weird episode. I was a bit disappointed, after how good the last 3 or 4 ones had been, but I guess there's always ups and downs.

I really likes her, she was pretty and smart and overall likeable, in my opinion, but I must admit there were some unfortunate implications with the whole owner/familiar dynamic.

The best parts were the parallels between the 'unbreakable bond', 'dying for each other' etc, that clearly related to Sam and Dean, and the few flashbacks that made the episode a bit sad, but in a good way. And let's hope their 'trust' is more than lip service, but I'm afraid Sam won't get to complete the trials.

Not the best episode of the season, that's obvious,

I was not happy with the episode. I am a HUGE Supernatural fan so it pains me to say I was disappointed in any episode, but it was a drag. Plus the wonky dialogue: a Twilight reference? "Don't try this at home kids"? (I about died from the cheesiness - that was the line they could come up with?) The dialogue in the garage with the freaking warlock?? (Some warlock . . .) The awkward pauses between the bros?

I liked the flashbacks and am curious about the ending. Next week's episode looks much better. I'm actually surprised they haven't dug into the whole Greek Mythology storyline more by now.

Go Jensen and Jared!

I really liked this eposide. Portia was beautiful as a woman and as a dog. It was funny that the cats' name was Phillpe Lachat which is Phillpe the cat in french. I like the direction the show is going this year because I had stopped watching this show because it was way over the top for awhile but i am enjoying this show again.

I loved the familiar scenes, Portia the Doberman was fierce as a girl and as a dog. But Dean is appearing goofy and deprived through the last episodes, I hope the writers give him a lady-friend soon so he could get his mojo back.
