Minnie Driver to Play Mother on About a Boy

Minnie Driver is on her way back the small screen.
The Oscar nomniee (for Good Will Hunting), who last appeared on FX's The Riches, will star opposite David Walton on NBC's About a Boy, an NBC pilot from Jason Katims that is based on a book (and movie) by the same name.
The series will center on the relationship between a wealthy man child and the boy who lives next door.
Sources confirm that Driver will play the child’s eccentric, recently-divorced mother, Fiona. It's the role taken on by Toni Collette in the big screen version of this story.
Driver has also appeared on episodes of Web Therapy, Will & Grace and Modern Family.
