Eric Mabius has booked a role on Scandal Season 2.

The former Ugly Betty star will appear on the February 21 installment (titled "Boom Goes the Dynamite") of the ABC thrill ride, portraying a Senator who turns to Olivia and company for help.

The Hollywood Reporter broke this piece of casting news.

Lisa Edelstein will also appear later this year as a client of Pope and Associates, as creator Shonda Rhimes has said the following set of episodes will return to the show "case of the week" format for awhile.

Mabius, meanwhile, recently stopped by Franklin & Bash and The Client List.
