Christine Lahti to Captain Beverly Hills Cop Pilot
Christine Lahti is on her way to both Beverly Hills and CBS.
The veteran actress has been cast as the captain on that network's Beverly Hills Cop pilot, which will center on Brandon T. Jackson as Aaron Foley, the son of Eddie Murphy's iconic Axel.
Billed as a continuation of the beloved film franchise, Beverly Hills Cop will be produced/written by Shawn Ryan (The Shield, Terriers, Last Resort) and feature Murphy reprising his role as the occasional guest star.
Ryan has confirmed via Twitter that the Oscar nominee will appear in the pilot.
Lahti, meanwhile, most recently Hawaii Five-0. She will be joined as a series regular by Jackson, Sheila Vand, David Denman and Kevin Pollak.

I really hope this show will be good ! Shawn Ryan is so gifted and it will be cruel if he gets another cancelled series. Both Last Resort and Chicago Code was such good series but only the Shield manage to stay on air long enough. Perhaps he really should work with cable networks more.
