I found this episode very much. You are left wondering who else in the CBI team is tainted. Brenda surprised me. As Volker is not dead, we'll see more of him. I repeat--who else in the CBI is tainted?

I thought it was a clever way out -- the killers quoting Jean Reno as a mafia hitman in "The Professional," who said, right before he killed a crooked DEA agent, "No women. No kids ..." because the crooked agents had!

I kind of agree with Ray. It started off well, continued well and then the end seem to fall flat. The chase, and arrest justed seemed to be "off". Liked Jane bringing back the boy to the mother, but it should have had "something" of Lisbon at the end, not just a right to the jaw and handcuffing. I don't know, but I thought it needed a few minutes more to be really concluded. Maybe, we will see him again. Don't know, but if they don't pick it up, I am going to be disappointed. Brenda, needs to be found out, she probably works for Red John too. Bottom line, I have seen way better eps.

I didn't care for it. All that lead up to what I felt was an anticlimatic conculsion. I still have some hope because, they left him alive, so I know we are not done with him, but it still didn't seem to flow. I am betting that he will appear in the final of the season, saying he knows who Red John is......he will get killed before he can reveal who he is....Loreli will appear and we either get the end of the series with Jane getting Red John (because of cancellation) or we finally will know who he is setting up the final season of the show. (Us knowing, but Jane not). I don't think this series has much left in the pot, so to speak, and isn't a physical or mental "who done it" with clues everywhere.

Awesome episode! I loved how Jane joined Teresa in her office to go through the papers. Patrick Jane never gets his hands dirty with paperwork if it doesn't concern Red John. He did it for Lisbon and I found it rather sweet of him. Over all I like how this episode focused on Lisbon and even though Jane had some One-Man show moments, the CBI group worked as quite the team on this! Also Lisbon looked lovely with her hair in this episode^^ I wonder if this case is really solved or if Volker can get out of this one more time... hate that we have to wait two weeks till the next episode. I'm rather addicted to the show at the moment!

I can't imaging that this is the end for Volker. The Deputy District Attorney is still scared to death of him for some reason or another. It isn't like being caught in the act will suddenly eliminate all his wealth, connections, or ability to intimidate... I'm very interested to see how it plays out down the line.

Sam, you're right in that Lisbon has bent the rules in the past. It did indeed start around Season 3. This was when Jane finally started to bring Lisbon over to his side. However, the reviewer is right, because she'd never done it to the extent that she did in this episode - that transformation is complete.

Good episode. Loved the review, but about Lisbon I do not agree that Teresa Lisbon a few years ago did not use intimidation tactis and lied to get something. She did it: in Season 3 when she sticks to a defendant so that it can be released. She also lies for two children to not go to jail in two different episodes. And before she met Jane lied to cover up a classmate who killed someone who could not indict.

I'm so glad they took down Volker. He was a cold blooded killer. I enjoyed Lisbon bending the rules and thinking more like Jane. I'd have to say the team is thinking more like Jane too. I was so glad that Rigsby found the notice about the zoo trip I was afraid he would miss it. That twist at the end was so surprisng. I never liked Brenda but I didn't think she was helping Volker. I hope they get her. Excellent episode.

Fantastic conclusion to a great mini-arc. Though as you say, we may see more. The ramifications of this will definitely be felt going forward anyway, especially in Lisbon's attitude towards Jane/Red John and obviously the whole Brenda thing.
By the way, Amanda Righetti had her baby last week. He's called Knox :)
