Golden Globes: Highlights, Lowlights and Jodie Foster

The 2013 Golden Globe Awards honored Girls, Homeland and Jodie Foster last night, as the mostly-successful ceremony featured its share of laughs, tears and surprises.

Best Monologue: Amy Poehler and Tina Fey. No shock here. From mocking Ricky Gervais to James Cameron, the 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation stars were every bit as hilarious as we'd imagined they would be. Relive the hilarity now:

Best Presenters: Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig. Equally unsurprising, as these Saturday Night Live alums proved to be terrible at improvising, stumbling through movie titles and actress names.

Most Awkward Speech: Jodie Foster won the Cecil B. DeMille Award and proceeded to sort of come out of the closet, while also calling for privacy. She also semi-retired. But the awkwardness and nervousness were balanced out by real emotion from the Oscar winner, especially when she thanked her ill mother.

Best Fake Drunk: Glenn Close. By a landslide.

Worst Ricky Gervais Impression: Sacha Baron Cohen, who tried far too hard to be edgy and over-the-top, especially when referencing an unfortunate incident involving Anne Hathaway and her private parts.

Most Adorable Famous Couple: Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. He referred to her as his "everything" upon winning Best Director, she thanked those he forgot upon taking the stage soon afterward to present.

Funniest Gag: Up for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical, Amy Poehler was too busy sitting on George Clooney's lap and giggling with the actor to care about the award.
