    Because it's obviously such a crime for Dean to care about someone who is not Sam. *sarcasm* Part of this fandom who calls themselves "silentmajority" and spn-gossip trolls just makes me laugh.

    @craig

    I agree, but the Destiel shippers would committ mass suicide if Supernatural would finally get rid of the angel plot (overdue since "Swan Song" IMHO), so I guess Supernatural is stuck with the winged desaster for good or worse.

    Getting rid of the Angels would be the much needed step in a new direction and would allow the Winchesters to grow, but we just won't get to see that.

  3. Craig

    Nothing is more 'over used' than Castiels storyline. Its the same old same old. Supernatural really does need to get away from having the boys as Angel lap dogs constantly cleaning up their messes.

    @supernatural fan

    I totally agree. Ironic that S8 is more about Sam and Dean than ever imo, Dean and Sam have a connection and this is what S8 is showing us. They will always find their way back to each other and thing of each other first and foremost but that also doesn't mean that they need to not have things for themselves. They are brothers, family and they know they will always be there for each other and most importantly 'have each others backs'.

    I just like seeing Jensen and Jared acting together thats all lol, they have this intensity that not many duo's have on screen.

    *don't think he'll let us down now.

    J2's chemistry is the reason for Supernatural. Its the reason why its here in the first place. Their characters are always being fleshed out, the only reason they aren't is when tptb decide to concentrate on a fanservice storyline that the majority of fans think is contrite and boring as hell, THE ANGELS!. Enough is enough, for god sake let the angels go and allow the boys and this show to move the hell on.

    @Nathalie
    I agree. I am so beyond tired of watching fans scream every time there's a slight ripple in Dean and Sam's relationship. I'm a bit sick of the Sam/Amelia story myself to be honest, but when fans keep calling "character assassination" it pisses me off. It's called character development, people. Obviously Sam's not going to choose Amelia, but am I the only one who thinks that it's perfectly understandable that Sam is having a hard time letting go of the person he was with for a year?
    I think if anything the brothers will work through this rift they're having and maybe become stronger as a result. Just look at Dean and Cas. Cas went behind his back and worked with Crowley, opened purgatory, made Sam go insane and tried to kill them both, along with actually killing loads of innocent people. And yet even after all that, Dean and Cas have a stronger relationship now than they had before all that happened, I think. I trust Carver, he delivered with seasons four and five and I do

    LOL I love it how the Sam haters try to mask their hate as " seperate character development" these days.
    The show is about two brother hunting monsters together, so get over it. After nearly 8 seasons each and everybody should have gotten that by now.

  9. Nathalie

    The J2 fanatics are back. No one cares about the so called "chemistry" if the show doesn't provide each character with a good indvidual storyline and myth arc. Recycling the brother bond is the worst thing Carver could do. And right now he's doing an awesome job.
    More Dean please. Thank you Carver :)

    This episode sounds like character development all around. Cas is in need of help and he's asking for it. Dean is being a good friend and helps him out. Sam is coming to terms with the fact that what he wants from life may not be "the family business"; and he actually returns to Amelia to sort things out. I don't think it will come down to Sam choosing to stay with Amelia and leave Dean for good, but I guess he'll at least realize that there are things he wants for himself - things unrelated to Dean and the hunting lifestyle. In a way, Dean is going through similiar issues, just at a different pace. He's starting to open up, to form friendships (Benny) and is prepared to defend and be there for his friends (Cas). This is a HUGE step after the "all our friends are dead"-trope we got in season 7. Cas, on his part, will probably have to suffer (as always), but at least he'll get a chance to make it up to the parts of his family that actually deserve it (Samandriel). I have a number of iss

    So really, you think it's DEAN that's selfish? Sam has been depicted this season as a selfish prick who cares only about himself and a married woman!
    Dean only loyal to himself? Are you freaking kidding? Dean has ALWAYS put everybody else over his own happiness!!
    Seriously, you MUST be watching a different show!!
    As for Dean being a broken record, that's because the writers have ALWAYS only cared about SAM, and never write anything good for Dean! He always is relegated to playing support for Sam and Cas!

    @Theonlyguy
    Seriously, please leave your ableist language at the door and take your homophobia elsewhere. It's incredibly offensive. Your opinion doesn't matter more than others btw just because you are a "guy". You call Dean a broken ass record. There's at least 100 fans who will tell you the opposite.

  13. Rachel

    Who gives a flying you know what about what an Angel, it means nothing. Sam and Amelia is an interesting story ONLY if it has something to do with Dean FULLSTOP!

  14. Kate

    @silver Your kidding right. Castiel is seriously the dumbest angel out of all of them if not the dumbest character ever been on Supernatural. Great hunts? How about terribly boring been there done that, episodes just like everything Castiel is involved with.

    Keep Jensen and Jared together because their chemistry is the only thing that has ever held Supernatural together and on screen. Keeping J2 apart destroys the show and exposes the substandard plot lines and ridiculous writing.

  15. Nathalie

    I am sick of people wanting to force Dean and Sam together in a car 24/7. This show is evolving because it shows Dean and Sam as separate individual people and that's what I've been waiting for all along. Bless you Jeremy Carver. Season gr8!

  16. Supernatural Fan

    I get it that Supernatural is in it's 8th season, and with shows running that long, storylines get repeated here and there, no problem with that, it's to be expected.
    But could we just carve it in stone that the brothers hunt together, period. And therefore leave the idiotic plots with the boring one dimensional suburbia chicks, like Lisa and Amelia, out of further storylines?

    Thanks, Mr. Carver.

    I wish Sam would go with Amelia. That way I'd get rid of two boring characters. However, seeing as his character isn;t going anywhere, hopefully he just pisses off Amelia and I never have to see her again.

  18. Aly

    "Maybe I'll get lucky and Sam will say yes so I can watch a show I enjoy, a hunter, his angel, and some great hunts instead of the Days of Sam's Boring Life." AHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHA. Shut up, good God, if you really think Sam will say yes we are watching two different shows. STFU.

  19. Jon

    @the Only guy here
    I'm a guy too.
    I agree with you. On everything, the cast needed a girl!

  20. Jon

    Dean didn't listen to Sam when he wanted a normal life when they were with their father. Dean had the hunch that Benny was innocent without investigating, which was ridiculous and selfish, but I don't mind, its part of being human. Sam did horrible things on season 4, thanks to Kripke, who destroyed his character. The point is that the brothers' mistakes occur cause they're human. Carver said we would explore human situations and conflicts throughout the season. It's easy, you watch it, or you don't. As easy as that. By the way, season 8 ratings have been higher than season 7's. Watch or don't watch..

  21. The only guy here.

    Girls, you all are seriously retarted. I am fed up with your un valid and useless comments. Stop being a Dean girl or a Castiel girl for a second and look at the bigger picture. You all wanted a Dean arc well there you have it. They explained it before this season started. Jared became a father and he wanted more time with his new son, leaving Carver to make a whole new story to fit Jareds schedule. As for Sams arc, I think if it wasnt for Sam you wouldnt have a show PERIOD. Sam has more character development than anyone. Dean is just going around a circle being a broken ass record. Sam went through so much shit he deserves to get out of the life, and if Dean loves him so much he wouldnt, hold him back. He needs to nut up and stop being selfish. As for Amelia, This show is getting gay because its three guys in a car having a sausage fest. Sometimes i forget theyre straight. Amelia is a good reminder that theyre not gay. I think its fucked up to put him in a ultimatum but we'll have to

  22. Jon

    Dean didn't listen to Sam when he wanted a normal life when they were with their father. I'm not having any preference with any character. Sam did horrible things on season 4, when Kripke destroyed his character. Sam told Dean that they should go and make sure Benny is a good guy, but Dean didn't listen because he has a hunch that tells him that Benny hasn't done anything wrong, which is ridiculous and selfish, but I don't mind because its part of being human. Sam has made mistakes, Dean has made mistakes, because they're human. Carver previously said that we would explore human situations and conflicts on Sam and Dean's brother bond. If you don't like it, that's easy, don't watch...season 8 ratings are higher than season 7's, that means like this season. So watch, or don't watch ;)

  23. Jon

    First thing, Ozzie stop watching if you want, its not like somebody cares, I don't care at all. This season hasn't been the best, but its good, very interesting actually. Sam's character has been destroyed since season 4, people. Kripke destroyed it when Dean went to Hell, and trusted a demon whore over his own brother, that's when his character got destroyed! NOT NOW! Are you really gonna start bitching on Sam because he had no clue of where his brother was?? It's not like he knew Dean was in Purgatory...its not like Bobby or Castiel where there. Its not the first time Sam losses Dean...I think he got frustrated..those moments that you go crazy and don't know what to do and you just run..maybe that's not what a hero would do, but what a human would do. The problems with you fans is that you see everything from Dean's point of view...its not like Dean is loyal to Cass or Sam, he's loyal to himself. Dean didn't listen to Cass when he had the plan of destroying Raphael, Dean didn't liste

    This is a pointless sl for Sam. We all know what is going to happen so why go down this path? I'm seriously disappointed in Carver. This is the best he could do for Sam?
    I agree with Jessie above. I will never forgive him either.
    He's destroyed both Sam's character and the brother's bond. Shame on him!

  25. Jessie

    Each episode synopsis and subsequent episode makes me less and less excited for the show. Hopefully, the incredibly boring and pointless Amelia storyline will come to a conclusion and we'll never see her again. But I will never forgive Carter for the character assassination he and the writers perpetrated on Sam this season. Sam not looking - utterly NOT believable. The ludicrous story line and vicious character assignation is so repugnant that the show has lost its integrity. This show was built on the brotherly bond and Carter has not only destroyed it but stomped it into the ground.
