I loved the episode and I thought it was really great. Amazing ending. Even got teary-eyed. Yes, I loved it. Wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

First of all, Courtney Morrison- this has to be one of the best articles I have ever read on TV Fanatic. You truly did an amazing job in summarizing this entire show.

I watched every episode of this show & I have followed this fan site as long as I can remember. I believe that the series finale was PERFECT! I loved every second of it. The GG writers did an amazing job. I loved that Dan was GG and I loved the 2 wedding scenes. Everybody was paired perfectly and this show will forever be remembered by me.

This is a really bittersweet moment for me. Monday's will never be the same for me. Thanks everyone for contributing to this site. I had so much fun with this show. I hope to see everyone become really success with this show. Til then, peace & love, X0X0

The polarizing twist was the fact that the show is telling us Dan is Gossip Girl. The producers/writers knew this would drive us nuts and that we would be talking about this as much or maybe even more than Chuck and Blair finally being together or Dan himself marrying Serena. I just wished they would have chosen something else, because really I don't think this helps Dan's legacy as a character in this story, even if his sister knew and approved of it.

This was a total and utter S**T.
    I'm glad it's over.
Tonight's episode was an awful crap at its best.
    XOXO my a..

I could've tolerated all of it(seasons of crappy writing, sliding production values, Dan being GG) if only Serena ended up with Nate. They were the relationship that kick-started the show. They were meant to be together! They're kids would be the ultimate good-looking, wealthy UES-er - the next generation!

    @NinaDobrevLove
In this ep U could see he knew her already! The flashBack to the party where she was wasted!?

  10. Hayley

Dan was so obviously Gossip Girl.... I was really dissapointed with this and had hoped he was lying to protect Eric or Jenny or someone else.
So glad with the couples except lily and William, William is such a bitch she should have Rufus or no one in my opinion.
All and all I think it was sould and I enjoyed seeing some old faces, minus Vanessa.. Hate her

Dan GG what a suprise.Good to see KB at last.Dorotia needed a strong drink.
    How bad did Jenny look?

    continued:
Sixth, I'm not entirely sure who those final five couples were. Chair and Derena for sure, but were the others Georgina/Jack (which I love!), Lily and William, and Rufus and some random lady? Seventh, what the heck was the "polarizing twist"? That someone new took over as Gossip Girl, so the site lives on forever (which is actually exactly what I want)? Overall, though, this finale was everything I wanted from the first show I ever truly fell in love with. Great job, Gossip Girl. You will be missed, but I know I will always love you. XOXO.

  13. mhaffy

i love the ending but im just curious of Nate? who's he end up?

  14. Chairleader

First of all, I can't believe this show is really over. It just doesn't seem real. What do I root for and hope for now that Chuck and Blair are happily married parents? Second of all, this was pretty much the best finale I could've hoped for. Chair married with a son, and Derena getting married. That's all I've ever really wanted from Gossip Girl. Third, I always figured Dan was Gossip Girl. That was the only way for him to ever truly be accepted into the UES and end up with S. Fourth, I wish we could've seen more of V, J, E, and even Juliet. As much as I hate Vanessa and Juliet, I really wanted to know how their lives turned out. And the show could always use more Eric! Fifth, what happened with Ivy and Sage? They just disappeared! Ivy storms out of the VDW building, and Sage goes to type up the GG story, and then what? Sixth, I'm not entirely sure who those final five couples were. Chair and Derena for sure, but were the others Georgina/Jack (which I love!), Lily/Willi

Nina Dobrev Love Dan knows Serena already in the pilot, watch season 1 thanksgiving flashbackwards...

    @obvious

Obviously it was Lisa Loeb coupled with Rufus in the end. Maybe you should google her or something.

Does Not Feel Like it is Really Over?!?!?!!!!! I kept going back and forth between Dan and Jenny and finally settled on Jenny before this episode but obviously was wrong. I thought the story of Dan writing himself into their world was the perfect reason. It made absolute since. I am glad someone knew about it the whole time.

LOVED THE ENDING WITH DERENA GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!! Wish they had kissed one last time but hey, at least I get my happily ever after :))))

Thank you Gossip Girl for giving me so many good memories of characters that I love. I am definitely going to go into withdrawal and watch all 6 seasons now. I love you and you will be missed on my TV screen every Monday night.

    XOXO

lol I don't even know what I watched? I mean...what? I still enjoyed it, I suppose, even if it wouldn't fit the tone of the show as a whole up to season 4. Definitely uneven with tons of dropped threads but at least it had energy, some good music and one-liners and some endings for the characters that actually kind of work. Dan as GG...ehhhh. They tried to make sense of it and it was a decent thematic tie-in, even if it truly makes no sense when you go back and watch earlier seasons. As far as the couples - Chair and Derena were definitely rushed even if there was some sweet moments. I don't know why the eff they didn't expand these story lines over at least 5 of the episodes instead of putting into 45 minutes. I thought Rufus ended up with Blair's mom until I went online. LOL!

I tend to compartmentalize GG into season 1/2 then 3/4 and then 5/6 in terms of both tone and quality so I don't know if my expectations were just very low but I feel this could've gone way worse and didn't

  19. Nina Dobrev Love

OH MY GOSH!! Dan is GG...seriously?! Do you guys remember the pilot? Where Serena came back to Manhattan and Gossip Girl posted it in a second? Why would Dan do this? He didn't even knew her then!! This shit doesn't make any sense

No matter how sucky and lackluster the writing this past seasons was I will always love Gossip Girl since it was part of my monday nights for 5 years and season 1-2 were something new and fresh. This finale felt a little bit rushed but it had just what it needed to made closure so I was ok with that. Looooved the cameos from everyone we haven't seen since forever I just wished they were a little bit longer. Also not to sound mean but Henry looked like he had down syndrome or something like that.

Wow... I just can't believe it's over. I started watching this show in the 7th grade, and now I am graduating high school. This was the first "real" tv show I watched. I LOVED this finale. Somehow Dan as GG makes sense and I think it was the best chose. I could've done with half an hour more for expanding the wedding and the 5 years later part. The interviews were interesting, but not worth an hour of time. In the end, I got nearly everything I had hoped for since season 1: Chair and Derena. I never really cared about who Nate would end up with because he never really loved anyone. I'm glad they left his love life undecided. I wish the Jenny and Eric cameos were longer!! Nonetheless, it was a great ending to the best show ever. I'll miss you Gossip Girl!

  22. Obvious

The chick with Rufus was Bex right?

  23. Obvious

Overall more happy than disappointed, but too many plot holes.
Plus there was a dead give away last season in the episode where they found Bart alive the Dan was GG because (like the creepy stalker, obsessive personality type he has) he followed Blair, and he was just on the edge enough to get the laptop back (which is a whole other plot hole to delve into).

  24. Obvious

    First wow its over
second not even a mention of serenate, a glimpse of hope something... Disappointing.
    Third epic season one hair!
Fourth why was there so much hype to chuck getting taken in for questioning... but anyways
And Lastly Dan as F***ing gossip girl WTF. First she ended up marry the guy that had been creepy stalking her/ruining her life for years... sure. And how to be narcissistic in three second revels or less, knowing from experiences and years of watching tv shows, a "writer" character is always the mary-sue/gary-stu, the one the creators want to bone the most which isn't necessarily a bad thing (ex: castle)but like come on, the leaders, leading character, is the leading character of all the others character. How were all these people so forgiving, Blair got deny Yale because of Dan, just to name ONE thing that totally fucked with their lives.

    OMG! I loved it.
