I don't understand, in the end, Lily kisses Rufus on the lips? Doesn't that mean that she and Rufus are back together?
After being such a loyal GG-fan, it hurts to watch the final episode. I'll miss it, a lot! Thank you, GG.

I love the finale!
I have been with Gossip Girl from day one.Always a Chair fan, always a Derena fan. And this ending was great for everyone. I even liked the Jack/Georgina thing!
The thing about Dan being GG, it maked sense for me. I liked the fact that they finally explained something on that show! Why he did it?
Wel so goodbye Gossip Girl, I'll miss it! :)
Blair looked beautiful in that dress btw!

I thought it was fantastic. I do agree that it would have been nice if it were longer; it did feel rushed. I'm sure there are huge gaps with Dan being GG, but for the most part, I don't really remember all "her" slams, so it worked for me. I may be the only one, but I thought Serena's dress was god-awful (even though it screamed Serena) hiddeous. And, I also wish there would have been a little more Eric time. Jenny, meh, I didn't need any more of her. All-in-all, I thought it was the perfect end to the series.
Also, two things: it appeared to me that Rufus had ended up with Bex. Is that wrong? AND, there is no way that kid is younger than 5. Chuck and Blair would have had to have been pregnant when they go married to have a kid that age only five years later.

Simply did not care about Chair after the writers sullied them in season 3, degraded them in season 4, then DESTROYED all semblance of logic with them in season 5. This couple ran parallel along the show, in a downward spiral that never recovered, becoming shells of their old selfs.
Worst finale ever, Lost was better. I loved Derena, but with Dan being GG their relationship is as implausible and laughable as Chair's. I'm definitely not watching whatever vomit these hack writers come up with next. I expect Carrie in the Carrie Diaries to become pregnant and then go back and forth with an abortion for a few episodes before finally losing the baby storyline, in which it'll go nowhere.

I didn't think the finale could get any worse than the penultimate episode, woe be me, it is.
At long last this flaming sinking ship/trainwreck has finally sunk in all its miserable glory into what has got to be a plot hole the size of the grand canyon!
GG is Dan. Really. Really? Because when I rewatched season 1 and 2 there are PLENTY of moments where that revelation simply doesn't make any sense. But wth right this is GG, and "sense" has been lacking in this trash for a very very long time. Goodbye Gossip Girl, you will not be missed. Ran itself in the ground so deep and hard its in China

I was really disappointed with the finale. Yes Chair and Derena got their happy endings, I'm grateful for that. But everything else was just handled so very poorly. What the producers should have done was ask for a few more minutes and fleshed out some scenes like with Jenny and Eric and even the eternally despised Vanessa.

I did't like it. I liked Chair but not Dan and Serena
I wish Jenny would have had a role. Towards the end I did not care anymore. I loved Serena's dress. I did not like Blair's dress I thought it could have been better.

Uncle Jack is also the character Joey on DEXTER, so that's probably why he wasn't on GG so much this last season, busy on Dexter. I like how they concluded the show. I will miss those characters too. Especially how all the devious women/girls got together to help Chuck under the organization of the Queen B. I thought GG was either Dan or Jenny, but mostly Jenny. So glad they brought her and Eric, back for the final episode.

I just don't buy Dan Humphrey as Gossip Girl, all his reactions through the time would just not add up. I'm sure I will end up rewatching it just to prove my point. I must admit I didn't really care for the one behind Gossip Girl, but it was made an important brick to fill the picture.
I love how Dan and Serena happened after all the scandals, I've rooted for them for so long, even though they changed so much (for the worse). It started with them and ended with them!
Rufus and Lily was a bit of a shocker but not much to go back to, they had ruined their relationship for good. And no way I feel sorry for Lily she just doesn't know how to choose a right man.
I do miss some more scenes with the former full time roles Vanessa, Eric and of course Jenny.. I always wished Jenny would find a way to be with Nate, but after all it seems he ended up alone, as he will probably always be going from girl to girl.
So now is my question what I have to fill up my Monday nights with now tha

My dear @Drea XOXO right man is with right woman - Dan and Serena! Nate was not able to be with Serena because he is a womanizer, he would not be faithful, as well as Carter who is a gambler and a tramp, he would spend last penny in his hand! Dan is the only man which deserves Serena, because all his life Dan wanted only Serena for what she is, and has done everything to be with her and even to become a GG! Serena is only woman which deserves Dan, because only Dan accepts all her flaws and virtues! Dan is her rock, and Serena is his inspiration / muse! Serena and Dan are the perfect couple, if were stars slightly more inclined they would be that in real life too!

I see a lot of people commenting that Nate should have ended up with Serena, while agree and would have completely preferred it, that would have derailed the whole concept behind Dan being "Gossip Girl". Why would GG exist then? GG was essentially a very long and twisted love letter to Serena and the UES world. Even so, I neevr cared for Derena, but after the reveal and motive for the creation of GG, it was a pretty sweet ending.
I also found Serena's wedding dress a little weird, but hey, it's Serena! She can't just wear ANY white/ivory dress!

Not trying to start anything, but what the fuck was that episode? Chuck and Blair's wedding lasted like ten seconds. Not very romantic. Dan is Gossip Girl? Yeah, that's plausible. While we're at it, the writers were like let's just shit on the Dair fandom one more time just for kicks. What assholes. And I'm not even a Dair fan.

Wow that's all ... no more gossip, no more drama Chair, Serena crushes no more, no more Gossip Girl ... adore this series, each chapter made me angry, sad, kill me with laughter, made me mourn, I fell in love Chuck and Blair undoubtedly every scene they did amazing, so I leave with a great taste, we may not have agreed a much chapters, but we were millions of fans, I loved to come to this blog every Monday and read mass hysteria that conveyed by each chapter was really fun, believe me I'll miss that too.
So I can only say that I love and will always love this series, all their music, their clothes and especially my beloved it's Girl's, I wish them well in their careers all cute will always continue viewing screen.
I lover so Gossip Girl ... XOXO.

The woman Rufus ended up with isn't "some random", it is Lisa Loeb! She was the host of that one show Lincoln Hawk played in during season one and I think he went on tour with her at some point.

I absolutely adore final episode! All my favourite couples are together. I can die in peace ;) I cared once about Lilly and Rufus, but somewhere along the way I just lost interest in them. Chair, Derena and was thah Georgina (one of favourites charachters) with Uncle Jack?
And o course Rachel Bilson and Kirsten Bell (she was the reason I started watching this show in the first place, I mean, hello? Any Veronica Mars fans over here?)

My most favorite part was seeing Henry! Too cute! Wish we got to see Dorota's kids as well! And Nate for Mayor? Yes! As a New Yorker, I would vote for him any day! MEOW.
