Did you remember 1st season 1x06 "The haidmaiden's tale"? When Dan almost give up to go after Serena on masquerade ball BUT he read Gossip Girl and decides to go because Gossip Girl encourage him. For me is Jenny or Eric

Your theories about Dan being gossip girl are very valid. BUT you are fogetting about Season two when the character Hilary Duff played was spotted taking condoms, and Dan saw the pic on gossip girl and freaked out. ALSO when Serena was spotted with a pregnancy test and it is posted, Jenny finds the gg blast and Dan looks at it with his dad and freaks out when he sees it. If he was gossip girl, he would not have reacted as he did, and he surely would not have let his dad see that he may have impregnated someone!

If you look at Gossip Girl on IMDB the final episode is already listed. The cast - also listed. Very top of the cast list? None other than Kristen Bell as Gossip Girl. She is normally listed as just the voice of Gossip Girl, however on the cast description is specifies "(voice)" on multiple episodes but just straight Gossip Girl on the series finale. Mystery solved.

I stopped and let a picture frame by frame, and there you can see a person who is a man, wearing a sweatshirt similar as in the picture and it seems like he's hiding something (laptop?) under sweatshirt!" I also watched this scene like a hundred times, but I can't see the guy you are talking about. I think the scenes at this party are one of the most important. I also watched the video of GG, Diana sends to Nate in 05x24, pretty often. And I hate it because I can't even recognize if it is a boy or a girl. But I guess the person is male, dunno why. And the person is really skinny and tall. But ahh I always thought Nate is GG but now I don't believe in that any longer, especially because Nate was so mad at Dan in the last episode... I'm not sure, if they will really show, who GG actually is. I think they'll do an open end, so everyone can still discuss about who GG could be / could h

I don't think it is Dan, but I think he at some point figured out who it is and that is why he is doing what he is doing. It's Serena. He loves her, all of her, so he is "the same" now as he said.

Maybe Dan took the laptop for Jenny maybe their a team. Another theory: Dan saw Gossip Girl stalking the NJBC at the brothel and confronted her/him and GG told him get me my laptop and I wont post about you following Blair here in a fit of insecure jealousy.

Chuck must decide whether he wants to be like Bart, because thus loses his love - Blair! The same goes for Dan, for what it is worth if he becomes powerful as Bart, if he loses Serena! Nate has to finally decide with whom girl he wants to be, because Serena and Blair he has already lost, and when he realize that he'll be fine!

Dan loves Serena so much it's just amazing, and she loves him too, and also he is so eager to be a friend to all of them! Now the ball is at Serena and the others, and we will see if Serena would to accept Dan as he is, or she will remain as it described by Dan! As well as whether they will accept Dan as an equal to all of them and continue to be friends! On the other hand, this season is dedicated to whether Serena and Dan and others to end up like their parents? If Serena ends up with any man other than Dan, she will do the same as her mother, Lily, who all his life trying to find a husband who is as Rufus! The same goes for Dan, as well as for Chuck, Blair and Nate!

Now I do not know if all this what happened to Dan in the episode 6x08 was setup that Bart caught in the a trap? It is interesting that Nate now with his fist strikes Dan, not when Dan published a chapter on Nate, and all this in front of Bart, who immediately approached Dan to draw him to his side! Maybe it is not everything presented, when Dan and Chuck and others have agreed to make a trap for Bart! We saw pictures in the next episode, Dan and Bart will connect, and I hope that Dan will not lose his soul, and he will at some point decide to help Chuck! I do not think that Dan in the last chapter would write that he is GG, more likely chapter will be a kind of Dan’s memorandum of itself, Serena and to all of them!

@Liana, I will repeat Dan is not GG, otherwise Serena will never forgive him! Great you remembered when Dan, Chuck and Nate ride a bus to school, and it is clear that Dan was a complete outsider then, and how much he wanted to be friend with Chuck and Nate! But my point is that Dan wants to be as powerful as Chuck, in fact, rather like Bart, because the plan referred to by Dan is likely to emerge in the season 2 when Dan wrote the story of Bart, and spent some time with him, learning from Bart how to run the business! Then Chuck got angry with Bart because Bart has paid more attention to Dan than to his son!

Dan would make the most sense, he's the first to enter when Nate/Serena lures GG to the bar in season 2 finale, and says he followed them,.not that he got a text from GG. He is a writer. But since he's the'insider' it's too obvious.
the Dorota- theory is hilarious but beneath her.
Rufus would be legit but kind of weird.
I'd love for Bart to be Gossip Girl lol but they say he dies earlier.
Blair/serena - nah. Lot of clues towards Blair, but that would just be awfully dull
Eric/Jenny - i'd be okay with it but these are a bit too obvious also. Rather Eric, then, he said himself he's always eavesdropping on serena
Nate - I always thought Nate was GG. It was perfect in so many ways.The show has been giving us clues that it's not him however, like him texting with gossip girl and he's said to be the one who finds out who GG is.
Chuck - this would just be the most pathetic and desperate thing a show has ever done

@ Fenn Gossip Girl was never pointed at Dan. Almost everyone I've talked to about this topic points it to either Ivy or Dorota. @ Zoran also Kristen Bell is actually guest starring in the finale! I'm thinking that she is probably a main contributor to the Gossip Girl blog. Because obviously the real Gossip Girl could not be able to write everything at all times. And also I love Derena. That's the only way I can tolerate Serena. Idk I just feel like she wasnt completely there for Blair when she was getting a divorce! If the tables were turned Blair would of used her brilliant little mind and would get the problem solved in no time. I think Serena shows that she is not like Lily in the fact that she picks men just for money. Which is what I love. And also they look soo cute together!

@Zoran And the drug dealer thing can be a coincidence but look at the clues. The drug dealer was SENT in to do a task for Damien. Maybe GG payed( or blackmailed) someone to go inside and get them the laptop. Because it could of been too risky for them to just show up like that. From my knowledge of movies whenever youre about to steal something or break in you wear all black. @Guest1123 Blair can not be Gossip Girl. Why would she post about where she is when she was about to run away to the Dominican Republic on her wedding? And why would she post her own Diary on the website. It just doesnt make any sense. To me Nate's jailed father "the Captian" has a better chance at being GG than Blair.

OMG! You make so much sense @Zoran! You are right! I remember in the pilot Nate and Chuck went to school on a city bus and Dan was also on the bus. Dan was obviously trying hard to hear what Chuck and Nate were talking about and Chuck saw him and accused him of being a stalker( at that time he was a nobody so Chuck and Nate didn't know who he was). He was shocked when they talked to him and told them that he goes to the same school as them. So it does seem like he sort of admired Chuck. And also due to the fact that Chuck got Blair and can easily get anything he wants. He is also a witness of how Lily chose Bart over his father and knows that he doesn't want to lose Serena. Butttt then again that could also mean that he is gossip girl! You see Dan probably wants to go a different route! Maybe that's why hes doing the tell alls! To see how everyone reacts! Because no one can cause as much damage as Gossip Girl. And he probably wants to see a taste of how they behave when they found out

Gossip girl must be agirl right? why would a male pretend to be a girl, thats loco. This lead me to belive that Blair is GG since if she wasn't then it would be Serena and thats absurd. So Blair is GG. case closed.

About Demjen not much to say, he's a drug dealer, Serena met him at boarding school, and he might wants to take revenge on Nate and Dan, but it is interesting that the only Demjan knew exactly where Serena is located at the beginning of season 6! Eight, Lily never loved Bart, she married him only for the money, that she said to Rufus before the wedding with Bart! For Lily love of her life was and still is only Rufus and vice versa! Exactly Lily is a bad mother, but she would never hurt Serena! Therefore, the question remains, whoever is GG, why does do it, which is a reason that has become a GG?

Sixth, Here's additional theory, in May, I carefully looked at the scene from episode 5x22, when masses of people out in front of Serena. I stopped and let a picture frame by frame, and there you can see a person who is a man, wearing a sweatshirt similar as in the picture and it seems like he's hiding something (laptop?) under sweatshirt! Male is not like any Dan or at Nate, but looks like a guy that brought drugs to Serena into the train! Seven, I now have an additional theory that in addition to Lily and Alison, maybe GG is Demjan or Vanessa? I know it's a stretch for Vanessa, but only she knew (except Jenny and Alison) that Dan is in love with Serena since 2005! Because Vanessa steal Dan’s story who he wrote about Serena, it's the same story in 6x05 episode when Serena took to read and she ran into Nate who sent by Chuck to check the pictures! Fifth, I do not agree with your theory that Dan wants to destroy Serena and others! Suppose he wants, but why, it must be a reason? Dan has always wanted to be like Chuck, and that Chuck would be his best friend, and when that failed for various reasons, Dan is satisfied that his best friend will be Nate, who is a oddly Chuck's best friend! Because Dan wants to be as powerful as Chuck, to be respect and appreciate as Chuck, and then when that achieve Dan wants that next to him is the love of his life - Serena! Dan believes that the what he is now he does not deserve Serena, and just it is a opposite, Serena loves exactly like this Dan! Of course, everything in the UES revolves around the power and women! @Liana, Sorry about your name! First, I love Serena, but of course as you know I am a big fan of Serena and Dan. Second, yes Serena has problems with her father, and it is true that she can be fierce as then with Rufus, but who is calmed down Serena and turned around for 180 degrees with just one phone call - none other than the love of her life Dan! Third, the reason why would Nate might be GG is only that he never sent any gossip! You're right that when Nate communicated with GG, he could not be in two different places at the same time! Fourth, Dan is not heartless, but you have to understand why he wrote that chapter about Rufus. Dan was surprised and shocked when he saw Rufus in a clinch with Ivy, it was so severe for him as if a part of his life crashed! And he was alone, he could not go to see Serena and talk to her as it did in the past, so he sat down and wrote a fiercely chapter on Rufus!

I dont think Dan is GG. TV shows are always like this...they'd like to point u in ONE direction while secretly trying to shock u with another....so the more blatant it is that Dan MIGHT be GG, the more it's not. I think Dan's plan is to fish out the REAL GG. That's why he's gritting his teeth into all these. He will be the one that FIND out who's the real GG cos he thinks GG is the one that ruined all of them. So his vendetta is against GG. I still hope Derena will happen.

Okay, now I kinda disagree with Lilly being GG. How can you explain why the letters she sent Rufus ended up on the blog? At that time she was trying to patch things up with Bart, so why would she ever let anything like that get out? Especially due to the fact that it is 100% preventable if she owns the blog. And also Serena snorting cocaine?( yeah we all know it was Juliet, but the picture was sent it saying that it was Serena. And the Gossip Girl post came out saying it was Serena as well). We all know Lily isn't the best mother, but she would never let something like that, something that would ruin her reputation and her child's future be on her blog. So I guess my pick is Dan with Bart as a possible but unlikely fallback.
