True Blood Casting for New, Positive Series Regular
The True Blood Season 6 cast is set to expand yet again.
With Rutger Hauer already on board as a villain named Macklyn, and Rob Kazinsky set to play a faerie who woos Sookie, new showrunner Mark Hudis has sent out a casting call for Nicole Jannsen.
The character will be a regular on the upcoming 10-episode season and is described as a "do-gooder to the core." She's idealistic, optimistic and is a vital member of a liberal advocacy group that fights for civil rights.
According to Zap2It, Jannsen is "not at all concerned with money; she's concerned with the common good and doing what's right... Life hasn't beaten her down yet."
Why do we have a feeling that might change once she visits Bon Temps?

I think shows can have tons of characters, but the narrative is only as cluttered as the writers allow it to be. Unfortunately for this show, the writers have allowed it to become a cluttered a mess, which isn't the case for Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire, which have even more characters than this show.

ANOTHER love interest for Sookie - do the writers read the fan comments AT ALL. All l/we want is to see is Sookie and Eric get back together (similar to the books) not Sookie and any supe that passes over her doorstep - she has gone from virgin to cheap floosy in 5 series, it's so sad :)

@Terrie: It's only at 10 because Anne was pregnant with twins and they wanted to cut the season short in order to give her the maternity leave and they can't really do 2 episodes without Sookie. Then again, I'd be happy if Sookie missed a season. Her character is doing my head in.

Good grief..............this show is on character overkill already!!!!!!
And only 10 episodes this next season????? I think the end is near........this show has run it's course.........IMO, this last season was a disaster...........
